What kind of slabs are those Matt ? Have you started MTG ? Matt and Tonyas grading co ?

They are Pro-Tech slabs. They are actually quite nice. The only downfall is the dumb flip they come with. It's an ugly sticker that is meant to go on the outside of the slab. I messed around with them all day trying to come up with a flip that I could put on the inside. The problem is the tolerances are so tight that it makes it very difficult to do. I finally got it after many hours and much foul language

Today's batch. I changed the paper for the flips to a higher quality brand. It's still tough to get in there but it seems to look better.

Best part about slabbing these myself is, if I get any mechanical errors, I can just punch myself in the face instead of cursing someone else

Well, I did kind of notice one thing - it looks to me like most of those cards were numbered by the same hand. So they must have sent like 2000 cards to everyone and they signed as many as they could get to - and then they were counted and hand numbered on return.

If I remember correctly, Aikman only signed 340. I'm pretty sure that is lowest pop of the set.

Thanks Craig. I'm getting better as I go. The Brent Jones was the last card I did and the flip looks the best.

It's time consuming but I am enjoying myself.

wow those flips in the last scan look legit. I thought the first few on page 1 look a little cheesy but the last scan looks real nice.

Today's partial batch. My ink is low so I need to run out and get some more. Grandma is baby-sitting the girls at her house tonight

That translates into a nice quiet house for Tonya and I tonight. Hopefully, I will be able to get a bunch more slabbed.

edit to add: Resized these pics to a smaller size on photobucket and they suck now. It must be a low quality program they use. I usually use photoshop which I will always use from now on.
