<< <i>Matt, Do you have this whole set ? Or are you just slabbing the ones you have ? Very nice looking work you've done there. >>
Thanks Barry. I am slabbing them as they arrive in the mail. I won a bunch off ebay and bought some off Beckett. I cleaned both sites out of the cards I need. I don't have them all but I am making nice progress.
I had about 15 from past box breaks and ebay purchases, that gave me a head start
<< <i>So Mait by you starting this project does that meen you have obtained every Emmitt card in the universe? >>
Not even close. However, it's a welcomed break. Most of these auto's are anywhere from .99 to $3.00. Only a few have cost more than that with the most expensive one being $13.00. I'm talking recent purchases.
The ones I had already, Aikman, Emmitt, Montana and the fake Favre were all about $75.00 to $100.00. I only have a few more higher $ cards to get which is good.
As a bonus, there ae only 134 cards in the complete set. I have about 50+ so far
are there alot of hof'ers in it? that would be a bad set complete,at least they signed the cards before they died, if any of them are dead, my 52 is slow going now
<< <i>are there alot of hof'ers in it? that would be a bad set complete,at least they signed the cards before they died, if any of them are dead, my 52 is slow going now >>
Yes sir. Emmitt, Favre, Jerry Rice/Steve young, Steve Young, Aikman, Montana.... There are alot more as well. Those are just the "big" names right off the top of my melon.
I have not been slabbing cards lately for my set. I have appr. 50 cards ready to be slabbed incuding some really nice ones. Elway, Tim Brown, Derrick Thomas, John Taylor to name a few. I also received a nice Ed McCaffrey from ichiro...thanks man!
Super Bowl XXVIII: Buffalo Bills vs Dallas Cowboys - Running back Emmitt Smith rushed for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns earning Super Bowl MVP honors as the Cowboys defeated the Bills 30-13 to win their second consecutive NFL title.
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
MATT ... HAHAHA ... either did I until you mentioned it! I was talking about the spelling! HAHAHAHAHA

Matt ... did Pro Line also issue auto cards in '93 and '95? I went into my computer to see if I had any of these for you and I listed a few of them as 93 and 95.

Lake Dawson. That brings back fun memories. He got bitten one time by my pet caiman at Notre Dame in my dorm room. He came up to check it out and he was at least brave enough to try and get it out of the cage (most of the guys were chickens when it came to my small caiman). I told him how to do it and showed him how to do it without hesitating, because if you hesitated, he would get you. Needless to say, he hesitated and my caiman got him. Didn't hurt him other than brief pain, but it embarrassed him. Cool guy though.
