Nick, I'm posting this for you and if anyone can maybe get a Dave Parker sig for you. I just saw online he is doing a signing TODAY. Its listed a as a Free signing.
Here is the info. 4/4/09 Dave Parker - baseball - 11am - 1pm - Meijer, 7390 Tylersville Rd, West Chester, Ohio
Almost 2 months with no autos in the mail for me, and then Goose Gossage showed up today. Not a my most thrilling return since he rejected my original free attempt and asked for $10 (which I reluctantly sent), but a return nonetheless.
Edited to add: RIP Mark Fidrych. A great pitcher to watch, and a very generous TTM signer.
<< <i>Wow, Goose Gossage. Your life is complete now. >>
Why dont you start a TTM project of your boyhood heroes Lee? Surely someone can get you started with the addresses for Jim Beam, Johnny Walker, and Jack Daniels.
Williams stopped signing through the mail five or six years ago. There is still a 'long wait time' to get him back, but your card will likely be unsigned.
Though not a guarantee - I think your best bet would be to catch him at a show, appearance or really in spring training.
<< <i>
<< <i>In my opinion $20 is too much for Dave Parker, especially when a guy like Billy Williams is signing TTM for free. >>
Unless Billy does not like you and refuses to send your card back that was already signed by Santo and Jenkins >>
Well the successes have slowed down considerably, and unfortunately today I received a rejection from Mickey Lolich's wife. It was a nice handwritten note detailing Mickey's price list. I will have to weigh out whether or not a Mickey Lolich autographed rookie card is worth $10.

That's a really tough decision. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. Please let us know as soon as you decide.

Nick: It is a big decision. Not everyone has "my brother owns a restaurant and pays me $4.85 an hour to work there 91 hours a week" kinda money.

I'm sorry that I want to provide for my family. Maybe I should be more like you and spend my days mailing out cards to baseball players. And I'm down to 87 hours a week just so you know.
<< <i>I have a quite a few cards still out, and since the returns are extremely slow lately I decided to send Mickey Lolich his fee.
>>
Lolich is the man, I grew up knowing his grand daughter Erin and even had the privilege of meeting mr Mickey Lolich when I was 10. I'll have to try the TTM for old times sake.
NICE BOGGS! (I hope he is not using autopen these days, as he was one of the 60 TTMs I mailed out this morning!)
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
With so many baseball requests still out and not returning too quickly I have started to dabble in some football. I got two back yesterday and today (both returned in under 2 weeks). My first football returns.

Nick, very nice Sutton. Did you send it to the Rancho Mirage, CA addy?
I sent mine out March 14 ... it was sent out with my first group of TTMs.
Maybe he finally sat down and signed his requests.
Hoping to get mine next week!

<< <i>Start doing other sports Nick. I hate long mail droughts. I think I've seen one piece of mail this week. Ugly. >>
Nick, Don't go over to the darkside. Stick to baseball autos.

You guys are so mean to each other that it's often easy to forget that you are the same person.

Actually I still have my original rookie card from my childhood and I was planning on sending it out next month.
Though not a guarantee - I think your best bet would be to catch him at a show, appearance or really in spring training.

And to think he only lives about 15 minutes from me
<< <i>I think I saw where someone else got a Wade Boggs auto back recently, so maybe he's been catching up on his old mail. >>
That was me. Am I just "someone else" to you now Nick? I thought we really had something here. LOL
It actually looks almost exactly the same as mine. I hope he didn't invest in an autopen.

<< <i>Wow, way to go Nick! You should get R. Schwartz to sign it, then it would turn from a $3 card to a $4 card. >>
Lee, you really should try some TTM's with some of your favorites. After Mr. Beam and Mr. Daniels you can give Mr. Jameson a shot.
