I'll send this card to the first person who PM's $15 or more to Gumby. Just reply to the thread and PM me your addy. And yes, I have the card in hand, I'm just to lazy to scan the card so I'm using pics I saved from the auction.
I'll donate 3 cards to the cause. Please send paypal to Gumby, reply to the thread and PM me your addy. The cards are:
Signed 1995 Crown Royale Jerry Jones $20 Signed 1999 SP Signature Jimmy Smith $10 SIgned 1992 Classic Desmond Howard $10
What's too bad is that Tim and I got into an argument over cards about a year ago. I was floored when I read what health condition he suffered from (I had cancer, but it pales in comparison to what he had) and the idiotic argument we got into seems so trivial now. RIP TIM.

Collecting vintage auto'd fb cards and Dan Marino cards!!
All PMs have been answered and the total is updated. I've received a few donations this morning and I'm not sure who they're from, so if you sent one through, please let me know.
I'm really proud the amount we've been able to raise. I'm actually in awe of it. But I also don't think we're tapped out yet. Let's see if we can get to $5000. Dig through some old cards collecting dust, put em up for auction, and let's see how high we can get the total. God bless everyone that's contributed and lets keep the ball rolling!
Great job Gumby keeping us updated and handling all the payments.
This is absolutely amazing. There is a reason so many quality individuals frequent this site, and this initiative is a shining example of that. Good work guys & gals.
Craig, I thought I'd make you work a little harder, LOL!, so I posted this over on the PCGS threads (these guys have a little 'scratch' also!) (Link to the PCGS thread)
Who know's maybe the PCGS guys and gals can add another $1000 or so? It would be nice!

Here's what I posted over there:
...Just a heads-up for you here in the PCGS threads.
Tim Mastin (erinstubby) just passed away last week. Tim was in his 30s and left behind a wife and three kids!
Tim was a sportscard (PSA) hobbyist and while battling with an illness, right up to the end, kept-up his collection efforts and was a well-liked contributor over on the PSA/CU threads.
Can you imagine a young widow's (with three children) sadness, spending the Xmas holidays without a husband and father?
Very sad indeed!
Craig (known as gumbyfan) started a group donation on the PSA/CU threads, and in just 2 short days, folks have 'stepped-up to the plate' and raised over $ 3,000 in donations.
Craig (gumbyfan) has been kind enough to match all paypal fees so that 100% of every donation will be sent to Tim's widow and children.
I thought I would open this up to the PCGS threads as well, as the "holiday spirit" should not be limited to just the PSA/CU threads, but should include the PCGS/CU community also, as I cannot think of a nicer thing to do this holiday season!
So if you want to donate something to Tim's family, gumbyfan made it easy to make a donation, via paypal:
1. you can PM me and I'll pass your message to Craig (gumbyfan) that you want to contribute. 2. just say "I'm in"/or pm sent below, and I'll see that Craig PM's you with instructions. 3. or you can contact gumbyfan directly (here is the link to his thread on the PSA boards): Link to gumbyfan's donation thread
If the PSA threads can raise over $3000 in a couple of days, think how much more can be raised if we include the kind PCGS folks in this wonderful endeavor?
i have pm'd to send money. some reason gumby has a problem with me and want someone else to pm his paypal to me.wtf.. what does it matter...this is for someone else.. get over your self.. don russell

I have not received any PMs from you Don. I'm sorry if you feel that I have a problem with you, I just haven't gotten any PMs from you. There is a link in my signature below if you would like to make a donation.

Don,
Craig did not have me pm you his address. I sent it to you on Thursday when Craig was not logged in. I wanted to keep the donations rolling in so that was why I sent it.
I really don't understand why you are saying you need his paypal address from him when I already sent it to you.
Don, looks like you may have just been confused. Either way, the Kangaroo Court has ruled, and you will have to incur a $20 fine on top of your donation. Please see lawnmowerman's pm about where to direct the payment and fine.
The Jerry Jones auto is sold for $10 but the 1999 SP Signature Jimmy Smith auto and 1992 Classic auto Desmond Howard are still available for $10. Just pm the $ to gumbyfan and PM me your addy.

<< <i>ok, i donated and paid my dumb a$$ fee of $20. merry christmas!! don >>
Calling any fees "dumb" results in another $10 penalty. The Kangaroo Court is VERY strict on this. The Court expects all fees to be paid no later than twelve (12) hours after the ruling. Please include the words "2nd Violation" in the memo area of the paypal form. Please refer to your pm from lawnmowerman on where to direct payment.
Since I don't want people to think that I don't care about what took place, I will offer up these two items to the first person or person's making a $20.00 donation for each item. First up we have a nice 11 x 14 autographed picture of Packers running back Ryan Grant. The second item is an autographed mini Spalding basketball signed by former Bucks great Sidney Moncrief. These were obtained in person at the shop I work at, and gumbyfan can verify that they are legit auto's. I will wait to hear from him so make sure to include your mailing address and what item or items you are bidding on. Thanks
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Payment sent on Ryan, plus I figured I would join in on this a little more.
How about a $15.00 or more donation on the following PSA/DNA certified cards...
PM to reserve.
Clear Skies, Mark
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
As brianwintersfan said, I can verify that the signatures are legit. Both athletes did public signings at the shop he works at and those are from the signings.
The Ryan Grant is gone and I have updated the running total.
Alright, the Ahman Green is now spoken for. The Culpepper and the Pierre are still waiting for new homes.

If Pierre and Green can get $15, and Moncrief gets $20, then a Tony Dorsett auto should get $35. This is a unique item, and I wish I could take a picture and add it (but I am at my mother's for the Holidays and there is no digital camera around, at least until Christmas day).
Back in the early-mid 90s, Dorsett started/sponsored/lent his name to Pro Flow 100% Pure Spring Water. At a local Kroger grocery store, he put up a display and signed bottles of the water (1.5 liter bottles) in black ink. He signed on the sweet spot of the bottle (the sweet spot being a space on the label to sign): Tony Dorsett 33. The signature is authentic, I guarantee. I had two bottles, gave one to my older brother years ago. Kept one. It still has the 100% Pure Spring Water in it, and it still is clear (probably because it is "100% pure"). So whoever sends Gumbyfan $35 and PMs me your address, I will send you the bottle empty (not sure the USPS wants a liquid sent in a box). Or if you are in the DFW area for the next week, we can arrange a meetup and I can give you the bottle with the water. I wish I could take it back with me home, but it will not pass in my carryon onto the plane next week.
