Doesn't matter. It is an original 1960 card, but because it's of a Giant, it warrants burning.
I'd be very surprised if it's in anything better than VG. Topps didn't break the bank when purchasing these for insertion into the hobby boxes. On average, I'm pretty sure they fall 1:2 boxes.
Now THAT is a loaded box … By Chris Olds 5/20/2009 2:45:14 PM
On the outside, the blaster box of 2009 Topps Heritage that Todd Neuman bought at a Walmart in Mayfield, Ky., probably looked like every other one that rolled off the assembly line and made its way to the shelf.
But on the inside it looked quite, quite different.
As in it had 51 of the set’s super-rare short-printed variations inside.
As in seven copies of Randy Winn.
As in seven Conor Jacksons.
As in seven Adrian Gonzalezes.
As in seven John Smoltzes and Hanley Ramirezes, too.
To top that, there were eight copies of the $200 “Thom” Glavine variation and eight copies of the Fred Lewis card featuring Winn on the front.
All told, that’s a $10,300 blaster box (high book) that cost just $19.99. There were just eight packs inside, but each and every one was loaded — that’s an average of $1,287 a pack.
“I have been collecting for a long time, but hadn’t bought any Topps Heritage this year yet. I bought the third box in the row and pulled 51 short-printed variations,” Neuman said. “I was just wondering if you had heard of anyone else having this luck on these this year?”
The answer on this is easy. That’s got to be the only one. >>
It's time I got serious about at least finishing the base set. Here are my needs, followed by what I have available. I pledge to send out the day after a trade is agreed upon.
I had to go into the office for a few minutes this morning (day off) and decided to stop by the nearby Wally World and pick up my guaranteed hot blaster box. I knew that if it didn't have seven sets of SSPs, then Topps would kindly provide me with a box of nothing but red ink or dual relics. Not so much. However, out of the five SPs pulled from the two blasters I bought, I needed four of them. This is pretty amazing considering that after a four-card trade with George, I only needed five more SPs. Not bad!
Anyone got a spare #450 or TN7?
I'm also still in search of about 20 chrome and some relics. I have a couple dupe chrome & relics to trade, but otherwise I'll be looking to buy.
Very dissappointed that PSA did not acknowledge the "rangers" variation on the A.Gonzalez card.

You shouldn't be surprised. Nobody acknowledges the Rangers....We only have the best record in the American League yet we're lucky if they show our highlights on SportsCenter or MLB network. 1/3 of the people at the ballpark the past three days we're bandwagon fans that for the most part are trailer trash from Bedford that have never been to Manhattan or the Bronx. Granted we lost 2 out of 3, but watch out Oakland we pound teams that aren't very good. Realize this isn't the forum for this but the above quote gave me a chance to vent a bit....
no sympathy here from a Royals fan that lives right outside NYC.

Received my end of a trade with George - double checked to make sure everything was there that was supposed to be. Still looking for #450 - anyone have one?
Here is my complete, fully updated, Topps Heritage want list and cards I have to trade. I have recently added some cards and my want lists have changed. My focus is on the 2009 set but I would like to trade for ANY of my Heritage needs going back to 2001.
Im at my parents house over the weekend, I came across some heritage cards, mostly commons but a nice stack of SP's. These are from the years 02,03,04, 08 and 09
I am taking the SP's and inserts with me, but Im not planning on taking the commons, if anyone needs any from these years let me know in the next day or so and I will look. My stash at home is still heavy with SP's and inserts, but I no longer have any commons, so if anyone needs anything send me your list!
Sweet card knopflers! Hopefully we can expect some decent cards like that in 2009 Heritage Update!! Speaking of which, has anyone heard any news about it??
If anyone is interested, my base PX has topps Heritage on sale, looks like a mostly full box. I'd be happy to get them to you for a finders fee + postage.

Joe, if you're going to do the relics from '01, you might as well take the plunge and do the chrome. That'll make you feel better when you go after the real '52 set in earnest.

I was going back down memory lane and found this quote from back in January posted by Kevin:
"I just got an email from Clay at Topps. He told me that 2009 Heritage will be just as 2008, a 1st series (500 cards) followed by an update set much later in the year. Hopefully Clay was only half right and that there will indeed be an update set.
I have a long want list from the 09 heritage for chrome needs. If anyone can help please Let me know. I have some to trade sp's base things like that. Or I'll buy them.

If they are stamped doesnt it take away from the authentic original value of the card?

Yup, that's the base set.
Master sets usually don't include the SSP's and chromes - guess that would be a Super Master Set
Just the base set and the master set.
All the other inserts are not included in any "set" so to speak.
