I realize everyone has already seen these and the general opinion is that the set is complete without them. However I differ in that, which is why I went after all 7. And while I busted 4 hobby boxes and wasn't lucky enough to pull one, I did buy one off a member of this board and the rest came from ebay. I realize thats not the same as pulling one, but I do think its cool they are all in one place (my heritage binder!!!). Thought I'd share.

Those had to have set you back a few bucks Matt. I gave up on the variations last year unless I happen to pull one from my cases.

Going to hijack thread briefly. A person has listed an 01 Heritage Grandstand Glory of Billy Martin.

I am almost positive that I have never seen one. The only ones I am aware of are: Fox,Mays,Roberts,

Ashburn, Rizzuto, Yogi, and J.Robinson. Any thoughts? Note where seller is from. Craig in Ohio

Hi guys did this happen to you?
I went by a KMart store a couple of towns over and picked up 2 blaster boxs.

When I opened them... the packs were really crazy the first box had alot of dups one pack had 7 cards of Jim Leyland and one Eric Wedge.
The next pack had 5 Eric Wedge and 3 Dave Trembley.

The second box was just as bad 6 John Russell Manger of the Pirates all in the same pack and 2 others. There were 4 packs in that box all like that.
That was a complete waist of $40 image

Thats does sound pretty rare -- too bad that they could not all be SPs or something that you wouldn't mind getting dups of!!

I just wanted to give a public shout out to everyone about Rob, also known here as fergie23, about how much I appreciate his generosity in helping me with my older Heritage sets!! He truly went out of his way to help me out. His character represents what I like most about this board -- quality people helping others and not once have I heard of anyone here being burned by a trade gone bad.

Again, Rob, thank you so much -- you are the best!!

So I stopped and grabbed my first Hobby box of 09 from a local shop today. Here's the results:

    (1) Black Chrome Grady Sizemore #C6 (26/60)
    (5) Chrome (McClouth C30, Delgado C43, Cabrera C53, Saunders C63, Lincecum C87)
    (8) SP's 433, 440, 454, 467, 478, 483, 486, 492
    (2) Flash 1, 6
    (2) NAP 4, 13
    (2) News Flash 5, 9
    (2) T&N 1, 6
Also a box Topper with Mike Aviles, Gil Meche, and David Price (which I have left unopened)

Willing to trade/sell the Sizemore and box topper

EDIT: Forgot to add in the Aramis Ramirez Clubhouse Collection Patch (CC-AR) also for trade/sell

    UNREAL....

Now THAT is a loaded box …

On the outside, the blaster box of 2009 Topps Heritage that Todd Neuman bought at a Walmart in Mayfield, Ky., probably looked like every other one that rolled off the assembly line and made its way to the shelf.

But on the inside it looked quite, quite different.

As in it had 51 of the set’s super-rare short-printed variations inside.

As in seven copies of Randy Winn.

    As in seven Conor Jacksons.

    As in seven Adrian Gonzalezes.

As in seven John Smoltzes and Hanley Ramirezes, too.

To top that, there were eight copies of the $200 “Thom” Glavine variation and eight copies of the Fred Lewis card featuring Winn on the front.

All told, that’s a $10,300 blaster box (high book) that cost just $19.99. There were just eight packs inside, but each and every one was loaded — that’s an average of $1,287 a pack.

“I have been collecting for a long time, but hadn’t bought any Topps Heritage this year yet. I bought the third box in the row and pulled 51 short-printed variations,” Neuman said. “I was just wondering if you had heard of anyone else having this luck on these this year?”

The answer on this is easy. That’s got to be the only one.
