<< <i>Looking at Chris' (Knopfler's) results from his first case got me to theorizing how that zero chrome collation could have happened. Obviously I have no working knowledge of how Topps' machines actually work, but what if there were settings that had to be set manually at the start of the pack insertion process, and one of the workers set the settings wrong and mixed up the pack insertion ratio's for chrome, refractor and black refractor? Here's what I mean:
The correct ratio of chromes was pulled by Chris, but as refractors. The correct ratio of refractors was pulled by Chris, but as black refractors. The correct ratio of black refractors was pulled by Chris, but as chromes.
Probably not an accurate theory, but it's plausible. >>
Very plausible.
Also, think about this- there are 600 black refractors in existence right now (100*60). Knopfler pulled 4 of them in one case, which is just under 1% of them. That's amazing when you consider how many retail cases must exist (HAS to be more than 100). That was an unbelievable case.

Case #2 ain't too shabby, either. Two red autos and a black refractor Dodger is pretty darn good.

Looking to have some custom cuts or plain custom cards built? PM me.
It would of been nice to have Sparky or Frank Howard to this years heritage, but I guess we will have to collect what we can. I actual like the dual CC's this year and hope I pull one...Arod/Mantle would be nice.
I think Chris is this year's Zep. Even if he just sells the "partial" refractor set and keeps the blacks, he will have done very well.
Tomorrow Ill be at the Braves/Phillies game in Orlando, Im hoping to get some heritage signed!

Oh, by the way my retail cases came from Lockwood. I know I saw on there that at least one other person ordered retail cases from Lockwood. It will be interesting to compare the Lockwood cases to other sources.
