My 2008 sets arrived about an hour ago. I'm done.
  • I actually have the two album Dansco's filled. They look awesome with the PDSS coins. I just received my silver proof sets today so these album's are now complete.

    Done, complete, album put away.

The group set looks nice. Looking at the 1999 set...it almost seems incomplete due to the low number of coins and yet the most expensive set.

    Gave up around 2004.

Sold off what I had at that point.

Didn't like many of the designs and needed to concentrated on Morgans anyway...

Complete sets ('99 - '08), silver and clad, all PF70 except one (can you guess?). I put them away and rarely look them. My kids will get them someday.

Moderns are just not that interesting to me. I'm glad the State quarter series is done.

Yep, Uncirc, Proof and Silver - still all in mint packaging... Not sure why, however, I did decide to do it as it began... Cheers, RickO

I only did the silver proof sets. I did a set for myself and a set for each of my two girls. I haven't ordered this years set yet.
  • I agree ... the filled Dansco albums with proofs look awesome! I have 'em all, too.

  • Waiting for my last silver set. I started the series much later, so I paid a more premium price for the 1999 and 2001 sets. The rest were

more in line with mint issue prices. Now I will have completed the series. This is actually how I started back into collecting. A friend and I

used to discuss coins on our break at work. He was a third generation super avid collector and I was reminiscing about a few coins I

collected as a kid. Well, his enthusiasm and knowledge for coins reinvigorated my interest. I started with the state quarters because they

are much more affordable and seemed like a decent value. Of course, the values have actually remained stagnant since I got into it, maybe

even dropping a bit...but I still enjoy the artwork on most of the coins...some are not as creative (michigan image) I probably will continue with

the next series (why not). My greatest experience with the series is when I purchased a NGC pf69 1999 silver set (nine coin) for only $300.

Now I know that sounds kind of an average price, but (I purchased on Ebay), in the fine print of the description it was casually mentioned

that the Connecticut coin was a pf70.....sold it singly on the bay for $400 , so I actually got the 69 set for free! (just dumb luck, for a

Luckyman) (kinda wish I still had that Connecticut, but there's no way I could have afforded to complete that year in pf70 anyway)

Now I've moved on to collecting a little of this and a little of that....I do miss my friend since he left our company...I'd love to share and learn

more about the hobby now that I've gotten deeper into it......Tom, if you're out there....Thanks for helping me find that love of coins again!

There is still a ways to go. The last two states in Business strikes, then the add on's. Waiting for delivery of my 10 PCGS MS68SF's that I got in one bid on eBay. But I got my Silver Proofs, Clad Proof and Satin mint sets today.

I've been there since 1999 and unfortunately only ordered two of that particular year.

I generally buy 3 sets each year of each offering of which 1 does in the Dansco. I have been terribly lax with the Dansco though since I still need to add 2007 and 2008!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

After the territories I though it would be fitting to add the Provinces and Mexican states as well. You know, just do the whole continental thingimage

  • Got back into coins in 1999 and started by buying the 1999 silver and clad proof sets. Been buying them every year since. Thinking of selling off the silver proofs to buy some real coins. The 1999 - 2008 silver run seems to be getting around $700 on ebay.

Started in 1999. Have not yet got the 2008 set tho.
  • Didn't get the proof sets, but completed my PCGS PF69 silver state quarter set a few weeks ago.
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.

Yepper, DONE!image P's, D's, Proofs and silver proofs, all safe and sound in the danscoimageimage I don't know what a set like this would sell for, raw, but probably not what it cost to put together buying the sets every year. Hell I had to buy a presidential dansco just for all the extra coins laying around. Shudda started a dansco for ALL of the coins, then I'd have a 10 year run doneimage But my REAL interest lies in my 7070. They do look good in the album though, for modern junkimageimageimage

  • Count me in and done! I've got the clad proofs, the silver proofs, and the unc sets from 99-08 all in OGP. I've toyed with putting them in an album, but for now, they'll stay put in their original packaging.

Just finished selling them all. I never got a chance to get the 2008 set. Sold all 1992-2007 sets to a collector.
  • Have mine less the 2008 and all are still in mint packaging. Haven't yet bought the albums for my 2 sets each of clad & silver......

I'll get around to it some rainy day after I attend crack-out school.

  • << <i>Count me as a sucker. >>

Yeah, got me too. A board member cherrypicked the P & D cir. for me to start my set. Many were PCGS (till I cracked em). I've just got the AK & HI to go. Usually buy 5 or 10 rolls (from the bank of course) and pick out the best single coin for my Dansco, pack away the other real nice ones and use the rest on Coke machines and tolls.
