Wait till you see what they are fetching on eBay...talk about sticker shock. Your dealer pricing is fair compared.

Mike...sure wish some of those 100 oz bars at reasonable prices you are finding.... were out here where I am.

the price your dealer is asking for the 100 oz Engelhard is very fair considering what few people local (to me) are asking...and what they are selling for on feebay.

$325 quick flip profit on feebay if you wanted to go through the hassel.

I'd still like to add a few more to my stash.

  • I don't see the ASE's as an attractive bullion investment as they stay at several bucks above melt. I'll take the generic rounds and bars since after all, silver is silver and the closer to melt the better. One of the local dealers is buried in them at over $18 and is still asking $18. There doesn't seem to be a lot of buyers at that price, except on ebay where most bars and rounds seem to be in the $17+ range before shipping. None for me, thanks.
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.

I am pleased with what I just got....

Happy.....naw......what would make me HAPPY would be to have the ready funds to pick up the other big bars that I have located locally.

I am not trying to catch a falling knife...not trying to call a bottom....not an expert.....soothsayer....mindreader....clairvoyant....Nostradamus......I just believe.....from what knowledge I have obtained...that we will see higher silver prices...and FOR ME it is the right time to buy....my problem is....... I have run out of cash....bought what silver I could get at reasonable prices the last month or so.

And as some on the boards know that I have dealt with........I've been picking up (hoarding) junk/cull silver coins since I joined....(and the 10 years previous to joining).

Call me crazy...that is cool....but I only have myself to answer to.image

With the 2008 ASE W MS selling for @26 at the mint, this might be a low mintage year. Are collectors buying at those prices?

$15 is still high when silver is at $12.5

The slide cointinues. Silver is now around 11.25. We may be looking at $8 silver by the election. Platinum has dropped $200 in the past couple of days as well. While there may have been different drivers, we may be seeing the repeat of the early 80s market. It will be interesting to see where price levels are next year. The collector in me hopes for a return to lower prices, particularly gold as it makes collecting much more affordable.

Current price for a roll from APMEX is $301.80, plus the $12.95 shipping, that's $15.73 each.

ASE's in my area are $18-$21, and no breaks on multiple rolls, if you can find them.

    I'm going with APMEX.
