Cool, I placed the FIRST bid for him!
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

If you've ever had the pleasure of actually meeting Brandon, face to face, 1 on 1 -
undoubtedly you KNOW that he is a real Class Act! I've had that privilege and must
say that I am really impressed with him, numismatically and as a human being!

Brandon is a GEM in the truest sense of the word - a very "learned" numismatist
and an all around Good Guy ... a real winner that doesn't put on airs, very humble
    & quite approachable.

He WAS Anaconda Rare Coins and a HUGE REASON for the company's success.

There is NO DOUBT about it. His new business will definitely flourish. image

    I like his return policy:

Polaris Numismatics offers a no questions asked 7-day return policy. If you have any problems with the item you received, or if your spouse found out about that $10,000 coin you bought and sneered at you in disapproval (within 7 days of receiving the item of course), feel free to call me (1-972-746-9193) to arrange a refund and instructions on returning the numismatic item.

Geee…I know Polaris is a triple star and right now there are only two “stars” in the Polaris Numismatics universe, but who is, or will be, the company Cepheid variable?
  • Brandon and Brian are class acts! I wish you guys the best of luck. I for sure will do business with them both..... buying and selling. Keep us (message board members) updated!

Interesting. I didn't know you could open an eBay store with zero feedback.

Now that you mentioned favorite sellers ...who are some of the good ethical ebay sellers? If it's a taboo discussion here in the forum feel free to message me. I'd also like to hear of other good/honest dealers that might be listed in other places such as periodicals like CoinWorld as well. Edgu-macate me guys. image

as the market-maker for counterstamped coins and love tokens? image

Actually, that is probably a smart way to get started on ebay and started getting the feedback score up. image

    I couldn't agree more.
I had wondered what became of Brian. I hadn't seen him around in awhile, but then I've been away from the show scene for about a year. I noticed a few months ago that his name wasn't listed on Teaparty's site anymore. I hope they do very well.

I wish him well. He's a gentleman with a good sense of humor and tact. (Photography skills and the ability to cataloque help , too). Then again, I'm for any American to succeed in business who is upstanding and honest.

  • Yes, I started Polaris Numismatics with Brian Cushing. Our website will be up and running soon and as you can see our ebay store already has items in it. I will be listing around 120 more today and tomorrow. They are a blast to image and I'm excited to add them to my image library.

I hope everyone enjoys the first batch of love tokens we're offering. We figured it would be a good way to up our initial feedback as RYK so keenly observed. I know they are not terribly expensive, but they are also symbolic. These are all coins that were made for an intended purpose, to serve the economic liquidity of a growing nation. Someone, at some time, pulled these coins out of circulation with an intent to make them unique and more desirable above and beyond their original intended purpose. Each and every one of these were cherished by the original owners and the makers put much time and effort into the gift. Needless to say, these mean much more than a Hallmark card. image

After Long Beach, you can expect to see more early type, bust, seated, toned, ect. available on both our website and on eBay. If you bought from Anaconda in the last 4 years, you've bought directly from me. If you were happy with the service, you can expect the same. If you were unhappy with the service, PLEASE email me and tell me what I can do better next time around. I am here for you. I am 110% dedicated to numismatics and will be operating in this industry for a long, long time. Remember, I'm still young. image

I truly appreciate all the support these boards and the dealer community have given me over the years. I ask that you now consider the fact that I face another uphill battle, steeper than the one I climbed bringing Anaconda up to where it was. I will not publicly blame Adrian for everything that has happened, a man is a failure only when he starts blaming others. The true measure of an individual is not how many times he gets knocked down, but how he keeps getting up.

If anybody wants to contact me about consignments, feel free to call me or shoot me an email. It will soon be brandon@polariscoins.com but while the website is under construction, just send them to polariscoins@yahoo.com image

  • Thanks for the link, Quartenut. First off, I like and respect Poorguy (aka-poboy, as one poster mistakenly called him, which still makes me smile), who helped prevent me from making a bad purchase for my collection as well as for his posts on this forum.

Secondly, I couldn't believe it when I saw a Barber Half love token with my wife's initials on it! Bid placed!image

Yup. I've been married since 2002 but my wife and I have been together since 1997.
