Have you ever refused to sign for a coin you bought?

I was thinking what are the advantages of not signing for a delivery of a coin you order? If you don't sign the coin should be so returned to sender and the sender should offer refund. The reason I am asking if others have done this, I would like the good that can come out of it. I order coins weekly, but don't want these coins I ordered, so I know I can return it after I open it because of the 30 return policy, but don't feel like paying another $20 in return shipping. Let me know what you guys think.image

  • Why don't you just cancel with the seller before the item is sent?image
  • If the package is damaged/opened I would not accept it.

If you don't accept a coin because you changed your mind and want to return it without paying more postage, then you're cheap image

Well the seller has already gave me this option. I told him that I changed my mind, he told me that no problem refuse the package or resend it priorty with sig conformation and insurance.

I am far from cheap, I never ever, ever refused a coin delivery but was "ASKING" if you guys ever did. Again nothing is cheap about it.

BTW it's a box of 2008 pennies, changed my mine. Don't want to open up box, repack and go through the process, don't I have that right? Or is it a cheap issue. Maybe I'm cheap or maybe not.

Some sellers insist on sending the item to you, even if they have a return policy. Perhaps it's to give you some time to get over buyer's remorse.

That's a completely different situation. If the seller told you to refuse it, then by all means, refuse it.

I understand why you don't want to pay for return shipping, but who paid for the shipping to get the coin to you?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

If I was the seller I'd probably deduct the return shipping costs from your refund.

Some people buy stuff and then get remorse afterwards. Or maybe the money they had planned to use was suddenly needed for an unanticipated expense.

If you order coins weekly but don't want the coins you order and are always sending them back then you are wasteing the time of alot of sellers and ruining the chance of alot of number 2 bidders to get these coins. Sounds like you have been running bids up and then are getting stuck with the coins that you don't really want.

Why are you ordering coins you don't want to begin with?

I have seen other here trying to answer this question for you but when are you going to address the question Yaha?

I was sorta wondering that myself. Buyers remorse most likely.

Did you order this stuff from one of the T.V. coin hucksters? If so, return it all & seek help.

Are you guys kidding me, I isn't the big bad wolf here. Also this was not a EBAY AUCTION. Again on a early response to my own thread I Paid shipping to have the box of pennies sent to me in the first place, you tell me what seller is going to be out shipping money when I paid. Maybe seller or business is what some can't figure out while reading a post.

I don't want no shooting match here and rude comments towards me, I 'ASKED" a simple question. Have you ever refused to sign for a coin or coins you have bought and what was the outcome.image

A fickle buyer that gets buyer's remorse and then refuses to accept delivery. Sounds like someone that I would block.

Yes, yes, yes, yes I did, tv husksters. BUt everyone is the piper on the pulpit no answering a simple question. Some of you guys crack me up. Why did I order the stuff in the first place, buyers remorse, I should be put on the blocked list, so on. If some of you feel that while you are shopping at a store and bought something that you didn't want or already had, ask yourself this 'BUYERS REMORSE' everyone in their life has returned something. But Yaha should really drop his pants and give his self 5 huge wacks or better yet crack my head on the 2x4 inside my wall to even ask some of you guys a question. What are some of you thinking Willy?image

    No it's not.

You ask possibly the second dumbest question I've ever read on this forum (behind only the guy who wondered if it was okay to take a collectable coin out of his coworkers spare change on his desk) and then you wonder why people rip on you. OF COURSE it's not okay to not sign for a coin that you bought. Anyone with any sense of morals knows that. If you want to return the coins, that's fine, but be a man and accept the package and pay for the return shipping. I mean, really, grow up.

See this is what I have always tried to warranted against in life Spew throwers that don't know nothing.

You are really showing your true colors of your status in life.

This was a little test. I am the one that had something sent back to me unsigned son!!! and the majority of you guys jumped on me like white on rice. I ask a question with a little info. respond with a little more info and BOOM!!

More over this place is changing and it's not for the good. Keep your nastiest coming, hell it's only Tuesday.

YaHa, take my advice and I mean both of these respectfully and friendly, I honestly do.
    1. Learn to use grammar a little better. If you know proper grammar, but say things like "that don't know nothing." as a joke we can't tell and it makes you look foolish.
    2. Don't waste our time or yours playing these little "tricks" on the forum. Say what you have to say in a straightforward manner and you'll get honest answers and learn a ton along the way.

    Good luck, brother.
