Buys 3 cards. I send them w paypal label and DC (<$50). He claims he didn't recieve. DC says never picked up.
I issue full refund.
I send a mutual agree to cancel so I can get my fees back.
He negs me for trying to get my fees back; saying I'm trying to give him unpaid item strike. Responds that he wants to complete deal??
He goes (PRIVTE) feedback.
WHAT A TOOL!!!!

Thanks for the ID.

I got a great deal. Of course I neg'd him.
Sellers should ALWAYS pay for MINIMUM Of dc.
I think you made a mistake by not getting at least DC.
The package w/o DC arrived.
This item was paid through paypal and I used a paypal label w DC and the package does not show as ever having been picked up?
I understand problems happen, but this is my first issue using paypal labels.

<< <i>I am not saying it is true in your case, but I believe I have been a buyer in the past, where the seller purposely didn't send the card (or dc) because I got a great deal. Of course I neg'd him. >>
Not relevant to this situation.

Relevant to this situation.
With that said, if I refund in full at first request how can you not respond to the mutual agree to cancel? Really? Its not like an unpaid item strike.
My thought is he's just screwing with me because I left pos feedback immed when he paid and he knows I have no recourse.
Mike
btw, the only time I send w/o DC is when paid by MO which I try to avoid. 99% of my items are paid w paypal and I use the paypal shipping labels w DC. I have taken MO's on items +$50 on a few instances and it all worked out fine. Some of the items were +$500, the last one was $80 and Ididn't use DC and was prepared to eat it if the deal went south.

That may be true, but perhaps he wanted the card a lot more than the $, and you didn't do your "due dillegence" in getting a DC to at least show him
that you tried. Like I said, I am not suggesting you didn't but there are many out there that would gladly refund instead of shipping the card if it didn't realize
what they had hoped for. What is the link to the auction?

Well the $3.50 s/h should be sufficient to pay for a dc, and his feedback isn't bad. I would have to hear his side of the story as well.
I guess the short part of the story is you should have spent the .40 for dc like most people do, in hopes of preventing this type
of thing in the future.
<< <i>HE USED DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. >>
he edited his first message, he first said he didnt use dc because it was only $50...
DC's don't say not picked up? they just say whether they were delivered or not??
whatever..

You didn't misread. He CHANGED his story!!!

Yea, i just noticed that, and i specifically remember that it did say he didnt use dc because it was under $50,
now he changed his story...whatever...a thread i think he should have never started...
<< <i>"...a thread i think he should have never started...," exclaims the king of creating threads that should never have been started. >>
Just because you aren't capable of creating threads, only making non-sense one-liners...what a "king" you are...KING NUT
<< <i>So is the package at the post office waiting to be picked up? What exactly does the status say on the usps website (including the additional details)? >>
Where is the postal guy?
A DC never "waiting to be picked up", It merely states once it is delivered...
<< <i>Haha. I thought this was going to be about like a software tool for eBay. My bad. Not sure what I was thinking.
That's what I thought at first too...thought it was going to be some utility...I don't know why people use the word tool for fool?
I'm also sorry that I don't jump into every other thread and show a picture of something in my collection.
And lastly, I'm sorry I don't have a belief system that's centered around brilliant ideas such as "Lance Berkman is a lock for the hall of fame" and "Randy Johnson (the consensus #3 starting pitcher of the modern era) is underrated."
MANY buyers are VERY dumb/stupid. They do not understand the process and EBAY
intentionally scares them with the language. Once such a buyers gets his money back,
he has no incentive to help the seller recover FVFs. IF, the buyer checks the "disagree"
box, the seller CANNOT subsequently file a standard UPI/NPB claim; the seller ONLY
gets one shot. EBAY makes MILLIONS on this process.
/////////////////
Mutual agreement indication. If the seller indicates that a mutual agreement has been reached with the buyer not to complete the transaction, eBay will ask the buyer for confirmation through an email and pop-up message.
If the buyer confirms the seller's statement about mutual agreement not to complete the transaction, the buyer will not receive an Unpaid Item strike and the seller will receive a Final Value Fee credit.
If the buyer disagrees with the seller's statement on mutual agreement, the buyer will not receive an Unpaid Item strike and the seller will not receive a Final Value Fee credit. The dispute will be closed immediately after the buyer responds and the seller will not be eligible to re-file an Unpaid Item dispute for that transaction.
If the buyer does not respond to the email or pop-up message within 7 days then the seller will be able to close the dispute. The seller will receive a Final Value Fee credit and the buyer will not receive a strike.

It took a lot of courage to admit that.
Ebay does not help this with the wording of the mutual it is worded to make the buyer think he is getting a strike if he agrees. Just another trick by Ebay to keep from having to refund fees.
<< <i>I'm sorry I don't feel the need to clog up the boards ...

You do clog up the boards...
I share a scan of my cards frequently (this is a sports card message board for the purpose of sharing on sports cards)
How many of your "clogging messages" do you post, or what percentage of your posts are not "sports card related"?
You share useless one-liners in order to disrupt threads and cause disharmony.
I never stated Berkman was currently a lock. (I do believe that the odds are better that he will be, than won't be - willing to wager? - we can keep this going for the next 10 years).
To be honest, I don't even know why you even sign in daily to this message board when you infrequently share about baseball cards....
I believe that there are many that do not believe or realize Randy is one of the top 10 pitchers of all time in the history of the game (career, not currently).
Scan you!
<< <i>I share a lot of things sportscard related. I also share information of a product if I have experience with it. I also get pms from people asking me about stuff which I answer honestly. You're clearly not paying attention. >>
this took about 2 minutes...I wonder what 30min would find...
Looks "trollish to me"....
Allen- That might be the greatest internet insult ever made. Well done, you magnificent human being. Well done.
The best time to buy anybody's cards is while they are still a junkie. This and other collecting tips are available in my new baseball card buying guide.
The big VSG submitters always get the good grades.
They are nice. You can barely tell they are trimmed.
They're mortgaging cardboard boxes these days? Wow, real estate is really getting out of hand.
detroitfan, I always thought you were a jackass. Send me some free cards and my opinion may change.
Only losers play with toys. Didn't you all see the 40-year old Virgin?
Well, at least there is one positive thing i can say about you....you aren't as bad as gumby (at least you have some intelligence)...but then again, most people already know to ignore him.
Anyone that calls themself gumby...
- Also, make sure you don't get the ones sold by UDA in the late 90s. I know they did a Payton and Marino, not sure who else. I think they were numbered to 2800 or 3500.
- I just received a package from Mike (Mphilking) with a 1962 Bucks Johnny Unitas. A while back, we had a dispute over some wax packs I bought from him that I thought were resealed. He said he bought them from a local shop owner that closed. As it turns out, he was recently contacted by a DA in his area saying that a suit has been filed against the shop owner for fraud because it was found that he was intermingling resealed wax packs with legit ones and selling them in groups. It seems entirely plausible at this point that both Mike and I were correct- some of the packs were legit and some were resealed. Mike and I had already buried the hatchet with regard to the deal, but he just sent me this Johnny U to make sure there were no hard feelings. Thanks Mike.
- I can tell you with 100% confidence that whatever you get for them it's not worth the effort.

<< <i>I don't think I'm a troll for mocking you. Most around here would agree with me. >>
Most of the trolls would agree with you... that is most that spend more time making one liners and disrupting threads instead of contributing to "sports cards".

I would say that about 5 of the most active groupies...

Excellent! Who are these "everyone" that you mentioned?
- Hof Auto's is officially now the biggest b**** on Cu. Can anyone start a thread without him posting one of his cards ?? I think we could start a thread about cyst on your butt and he would post a pic of his Rickey Henderson autographed card.
- hof is a putz.
- He just post s*** to show it off regardless if it pertains to the discussion at hand or not.
- Im thinking I might scan a bunch of my cards and just randomly start posting them on threads whether it fits the discussion or not
These are all from different people and they are unsolicited comments. See, the difference between you and I is that I realize my form of banter might rub people the wrong way, but it really doesn't bother me. You, on the other hand, feel people enjoy your conversation and pics of every card you've bought in the last 3 years, when, in fact, most are rather turned off by you or completely indifferent to your existence.

The people that PM you are the type of people that enjoy you causing grief with others.
You admittedly state that your humor rubs people the wrong way and it doesn't bother you.
THat statement says a LOT about you, and the people that PM you.
Most mature and "God Loving" people, if they didn't like what someone had to share, would simply ignore it.
