I just got my dream job... post the dream coin you got

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,409 ✭✭✭✭✭
Since about 8th grade, the one company I've consistently wanted to work for has been Boeing. More specifically, the Commercial Aircraft division in Seattle. This week I finally got the offer to work there as an aerodynamics engineering intern for the summer. So... woohoo!

Now, to make it coin related, post a coin you courted for years... and finally got.

It took me 10 years of looking to find the right Fugio:

    Good for you.
  • Congradulations. You will be interning for a good company.

My mother passed away approximately two weeks ago. She was 89 years old.

My brother is employed by Boeing, Ridley Park, PA. He took care of my mother as she was dying from old age.
To make a long story short, Boeing was extremely flexible in allowing my brother to take time off from work, so that he could tend to our mothers needs.
The day she passed away the Vice President of the company called to express his sympathy to my brother, and, the family.
My borther has never met the Vice President; however, we all felt that it was very nice of this person to call the house to express his sympathy for our loss.

At the end of my mothers funeral mass we made sure to thank the Boeing Corporation for being so kind, and, considerate, to my brother, while he took time off, from the company, to tend to our mother.

Congratulations Jeremy! Boeing is a great place to work. I took a couple of fascinating "Aerodynamics for Engineers" courses at Boeing the late 1980's, Boeing aerodynamicists are on the cutting edge. Be sure to check out the Boeing Employees Coin Club, a very active club with a large membership and monthly meetings.

At first I couldn't afford one, and then I couldn't find one. Most of the1795 half eagles are damaged in some way, and many of the slabbed pieces have been cleaned bright white. This one is an exception. It's in a PCGS AU-55 holder.

Congrats Jeremy and welcome to Seattle. My sister is an electrical engineer at my brother works in CAD. My step father is trying to get on and should find out this month where he will be working. A bot of family at the ol' Lazy B.

Be sure to stop by Stagg's located in Kent, WA. Andy Stagg is a wonderful man to work with and is Extremely fair. His son Mark is very nice as well. I use to work there part-time a few years back. He is one of the few shops open on Sundays from 10-4.

Seattle is a wonderful city to live in. Be sure to take advantage of all that the NW has to offer especially the seafood. Try to go salmon fishing and be sure to have Dungeness crab. You'll have to stop by Dick's and get a Deluxe, large fry and chocolate shake. The Mariners will be playing and Safeco Field is a beautiful stadium.

Seattle is a very open community where you will find a true melting pot.

Enjoy your time and I hope you don't grow moss on your back nor get webbed feet. Gosh I miss Seattle........
