Well, at least 4.5 times more than if you're a Platinum Power Seller™.
<< <i>bought ONE coin from them. likely not again. didn't get the shaft, however the end result was towards the sleaze end, like the foto did not agree well with the coin! >>
I've had 10 transactions over two years with no problems.
Just had to chime in fairness.
My purchases were all <$100.00 each and I agree the photos are not great.
The shipping is great and I have not had to return a coin to them yet so I can't speak to that.

Jerry, you are one of the most honest coin dealers on eBay. I remember that John Adams NGC MS67 FDI you had for sale. It's a pop 1 at NGC but you mentioned how another dealer said he saw another one. A pop 2 coin is worth far less than a pop 1 coin, potentially. You could have gone on a harked on how it was a pop 1 and asked 5 figures for it, but when I read the listing I was truly blown away at your honesty in saying it could be a pop 2 coin, and also, your realistic asking price.
As for TNFC, I consider them one of the better dealers on eBay. I've won many coins from them on eBay without a problem. I've been to their B&M shop once. Meh, it was okay. I guess I can understand how they can rub you the wrong way.
That being said, you still have every right to be annoyed.

Thanks for the good words. Funny thing is the dealer who told me it was pop 2 said that as long as the pop report said 1 that I was technically correct to call it pop 1. I told him I thought it better to report the true pop. we then compared serial numbers, confirmed it was indeed pop 2, and I changed the auction. --Jerry
I just BIN'ed a $20 Gold Liberty (yesterday) and was told today that the coin had sold earlier in the day yesterday. It was $1100 and today all their prices have increased on gold
now days though, i think his buy it nows are on the high side and
tend to just ignore his offerings since he does not have what i want.

The OP is an older thread....

There is a middle grey area where some dealers who wouldn't be deceitful about a coin description feel it is OK to say "No Longer Available" if they decide they want more money. Not saying TNFC is one of them but the above cancelled sales support this. --Jerry
of course this walker i made a guess the grade of post here and consensus was it was a ms64-66 coin
i suspect they saw that thread...caught pcgs totally blew the grade upon going to ship
usually an effort is made to at least compensate for errors not just "sorry n tuff luck to you"
i cringe when i look at they're stuff as they do offer sweet examples and just know their deal can be a hit n miss
here's the coin and note to myself....never-never do a thread like this until coin is in hand incase seller is a lurker or poster
tnfc thread
I see a lot of people had decent experiences with them. I got the shaft. I hit a buy it now on a coin 20 minutes after they listed it for sale. I paid for it. A few days later I get a refund and was told the coin was sold. My guess is they got more for it. It was a variety and decent cherrypick so maybe the figured out I got a great deal.
They did not steal my money or try to, just backed out of a sale.

Boy....nothing like throwing knives at stated competition then trying to act like you aren't.
If it were me, and I were claiming to have such high business ethics, I wouldn't comment in a thread about my competitor like this. I would let others comment or just give facts that I knew to be facts insted of "not saying...." but "support this".
That's just me though, and I think my ethics are high but then again, I am not a self-called dealer and don't have to try to throw down on competition.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
How can any dealer that was a core member of the Accugrade network be considered reputable?

THATS LIKE SAYING SGS IS ON POINT WITH THEIR GRADING!!!
Perhaps they were in error in listing a coin they had recently sold? Things like that happen. Anyway, all I can say is based on my only documented experience.

I bought a coin from them a while back that
looked to have some sort of reddish toning,
which I was not at all sure I would like.
As it turned out, it was not toned at all. It
must have been their scanner adding the
color.
I was happy.

It means that they probably sold it off eBay and didn't have a chance to remove it before you bid on it.
Just be glad they didn't send you a Payment Reminder and file a Dispute against you like a seller did me several months ago.
I had bought 2 items worth $500, paid with PP then several weeks later when I was expecting my items I received 2 Payment Reminders. I blast back a rude nasty email cussin & fussin and telling them they better get their act together.
Then I read an earlier email I hadn't scrolled down to yet, "You've got a refund." That made me feel bad for sending the nasty email because they weren't scamming me after all.
The seller's Parts Dept Manager sends me an email saying basically "Hey bud, we were sold out of the parts and refunded your money...what's your problem???"
I told him back "All you had to do was tell me that instead of sending me 2 Payment Reminders like I was a deadbeat or something."
He said the internet sales dept had made a mistake and he apoligized profusely. And all was well.
So I thought.
Several days later the seller filed 2 non-payment eBay disputes against me!!
That really pissed me off, offended me, & hurt my feelings so I sent them an even nastier email than the first and I even threatened the guy with bodily harm for opening a dispute against me like I was a deadbeat buyer or something.
He sent me back an email telling me "Look, if you want to dance I'll dance with you but I'd rather be civil about it, the choice is yours, we've been polite and you're been rude & abusive. The reason we filed 2 disputes against you is that is the only way we recover our Final Value Fees on a sold item."
I said "Well why didn't you just tell me that, instead of keep surprising me with reminders & disputes like I'm a deadbeat or something? Check your records and you'll see I did about $25k worth of biz with you in the last several years and I don't appreciate being treated like a deadbeat."
He apoligized profusely again saying they were a large dealership (they had over 1,000 eBay auctions listed) with a large showroom and sometimes their left hand didn't know what their right hand was doing.
I was ok with that because they are a reputable company, albeit disorganized, and weren't trying to rip me off and refunded my hard earned $$$. However, no matter what kind of good deals they have, I avoid them now because I don't need that kind of aggrevation. Too bad, so sad.
Their pictures are bad. Their brightness is so low, that most gold coins looks a dark brownish orange. The pictures are also small.
One of the coins I got was [edit] so-so and not anything special. The other coin I got had color that I liked. But it is absolutely impossible to tell from their photos what you actually will get.
I don't look at expensive coins that are represented poorly.
One of my packages was mislabeled and took a whole month to get to me. Fortunately it did get to me.
I can see how they might list a coin on their website and on eBay. Folks scan that website and sometimes snap things up shortly after being listed.
