  • Of it is this big of an issue you should find some where else to sell your coins. You are making bigger then it is. If you don't like the rules go somewhere else. Stop the thread, delete it. It is a waste of time

Call the coin a mint state example , dripping with luster and strike detail, BEAUTIFUL to the eye.

    It ain't rocket science.

Best of luck to you, Frank. Maybe your actions will be a catalyst for further positive changes at Ebay.

Sadly, if you had just kept your head down and followed the stated rules (easily enough done), you doubtlessly would not have had all of those auctions cancelled (although honestly I think that was your desired result all along, so that you could make the case for Ebay's arbitrary idiocy).

"I have been advised not to comment any further on this thread."

You haven't taken any other advice. Why start now?

  • And now what happens? You file suit against ebay, they win and you are NARUed plus a lot of legal bills. Wouldn't it have been much simpler to follow the same rules as everyone else and see what further changes are ahead. I feel sorry for this poor old dead horse, and don't see any sympathy for the OP.

    FrankCoins,

I just have to ask, you wouldn't happen to be the individual who used to be on the bay of E under the name "causeys" would you?

    Just wondering...

Quoting from ANA Grading Standards, 4th Ed, pg. 238:

"MS-65 UNCIRCULATED No trace of wear; nearly as perfect as MS-67 except for some small blemish. Has full mint luster but may be unevenly toned or lightly fingermarked. May be weakly struck in one or two small spots. A few minute nicks or marks may be present."

"MS-63 UNCIRCULATED A mint state coin with attractive mint luster, but noticeable detracting contact marks or minor blemishes."

As stated by others, your coin isn't a 65 by ANA Grading Standards. So your entire premise is false to begin with.

As also stated by others, you are exactly the type of seller that eBay is going after. So you don't like the new policy? Well, duh.

I don't want to get involved in all this but am curious about one thing.....

What is the grade of the Sony Radio?

whole new can of worms on the radio grading; the Japanese use a different grading scale than we do. They like this scale:

JP1 = perfect working order, almost new

JP2 = works some of the time, but may have a problem

JP3 = as is, needs significant work to be a daily user

JP4 = nothing but static, only good for listening to EVPs from the dead

JP5= wouldn't broadcast a fart if it's little plastic life depended on it

keep in mind, that if his grading of radios is anything like his coins, gradeflation will prevail here.
