After much comtemplating, I put (nearly) everything in a flat-rate box & sent it registered. #RB644840685US. What did not fit was a tupperware bowl that held the raw coins. These coins came in plastic tubes that were not taped shut & were rolling in the bowl when I received the package. These have been taped shut & tucked away neatly in the box going out to slipgate.
So, TC1, you may get upset at me for not sending the bowl along, but for the $25 difference I'll take my chances.
Here's the question I have, do you want me to send it to slipgate so he is forced to ship the raw coins in the bowl & incur the added cost, or would you like me to send it back to you, or should I keep it?
Not mad at all, just glad you got around to getting it shipped. When slipgate see's your message let them respond if they want it shipped to them or not. If he does not want it, ship it back to me priority, insured.

I am sorry if I took 1 DAY longer than you expected me to, just finding the most cost effective way to send them.
Needless to say I had no intensions of keeping them.
Tell you what I am going to do. I will ship the tupperware bowl out to slipgate with signature confirmation today so that I can pass along this problem to him. Maybe he'll ship the bowl back to you Priority with insurance

What do you think a used Tupperware is worth? >>
Augie. I think I completely misunderstood ya. I thought that you still had the raw coins in the tupperware bowl. Now I am thinking you shipped all the raw coins without the tupperware bowl. if this is the case I am SORRY. I misunderstood ya. Keep the tupperware bowl or toss it, its up to you!
That darn bowl, although helpful when the tubes opened on there way to me, was too large to fit in the flat rate box. If those that open the tubes tape them shut there should not be an issue with them opening. The flat rate box is just the right size to keep things snug with some padding.
Also, as it works out, it is cheaper to send registered with insurance than just Priority with Insurance. Just remember to pick up that kraft paper tape.
Doesn't it make more sense to WAIT and SEE what exits the box and what is put IN the box before asking for it?
Personally, I think it does because we then are in better positions to determine if there is something in it that interests us. That wa my intention. Why holler for a box if it has nothing in it that interests you?
At any rate, if this IS the way it is going to go down then I'll take it after claychaser BUT with the option to defer!
With this lag time between deliveries it may be 3-4 months before this is done. I do agree about deferring, in fact I think I was the one who came up with the idea.
The mail time will also be impacted by time of year. I ususally get my priority mail stuff cross country in 2-3 days as advertised, except form the Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday season. So if you use the flat rate box, the postage is the same in the USA. So the best you can cut off is 1, maybe 2 days of transit time. But, with a 10 person tag, that could be another 20 days on the Pony Express.

Yo all, I think I may have to defer again. Leaving for Colorado on an archery elk hunt on the 5th, and wouldn't want it getting hung up or having to be rushed. I'll be back around the12th or 13th and we'll go from there edited to add, I thought it worked better when every body posted everything in and out before deciding who it goes to next. Either way is fine with me also though
