what's the difference between the black bordered mini's without a number and the black bordered mini's with numbers (other than the missing numbers of course) is it another parallel set? how tough are they?
i've got some regular white mini's without numbers, i thought those were the nno's?

Topps made some black borders with numbers and some without, and there's no rhyme or reason as to which are which. No card exists with both varieties however, it's either one or the other. The white borders are a true parallel set with all 350 as no numbers.

I listed my A&G back mini set on eBay for $549.95 or best offer, and I have an offer for $400 (I already turned down a $300 offer from a different bidder) Since i've seen a few of the regular back mini sets going for around $250, do you guys think that $400 is good for the A&G back mini set?
Nick, larger lots of regular minis are selling for almost equal that of their A&G back counterparts. I'd say $400 is about as good as you'll get for an A&G back set. I've seen them sell a month or so ago for as little as $295 before shipping.
edited to add: The demand for the regular minis in comparison to their availability is much greater than the A&G back minis.

I'd say it's an ok offer for this time of year, but a bargain for that price. Once baseball season gears back up, you should be able to get more. Just my opinion though, I could be wrong. I guess it's a question of whether or not you want to get rid of it for that price.

Was yours in any type of card holder ? I received mine the other day also and it was inside a small envelope which was then inside of a slightly thicker envelope, no sleeve holder or anything. It wasn't damaged, but I can't believe they ship cards like that.
I am also waiting on a Mia Hamm redemption so hopefully it is packed a little better.

Thinking of starting on this set (of the certified autos) as I see them a lot on ebay and think they are just beautiful cards with a great player range. Before I start, I have a few questons I hopes you guys could help me with.
1. Are there any differences in the design of 2006 and 2007 (i think it looks like a slightly different colour on the border but that is all i can see) 2. Are the little autographed cards placed between plastic holding them in place inside the borders or how does that work? If it is plastic is it easly scratched up? 3. I have compiled a checklist for both years and have 105 total for both (that includes a tbd for 2007 though I do not know who it was). Anyone know who the TBD was in 2007 and does the number 105 sound about right? 4. Does anyone have doubles that could help me get started (I would gladly pay the going rate or trade for them) PM me what you have and what you would like for it?
i have been thinking of doing the same thing but have decided to wait due to $. there is a 2006 Nolan Ryan auto on ebay right now. you may want to get it since it seems pretty tough to come by. an Ozzie sold a few days ago too...

I will say the 2006 auto set has some big-time money cards. SP of HOF's. The Ryan is expensive, the Wang is crazy expensive, the A-Rod is expensive, Tyson, Musial, Couture, etc. The kingpins of that set are the Danica Patrick, Pujols and Bonds ones. Each of those go for over $500 with the Pujols usually getting over $750. The base players are pretty easy. I think I saw an auction for the master '06 set and the asking price was over $2,500.
