I get a kick out of them saying that it's the "Holy Grail" of the Jeter cards. I guess they haven't heard of the Platinum 1/1 parallels? I also laugh when they call it the "first one made" because it's numbered 1/56. Just because it's numbered as '1' doesn't mean it was the first made. It just means that it was the first one that was numbered.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

If you would have pulled the card, you would have hyped it in a similar fashion.

As a Yankees fan I would have kept the card and not sold it.

When the ESPN/CNN story broke, it also became an interesting sociological/psycyological experiment, of sorts.

Unless you paid $300 for it. lol
It will soon be forgotten like the Santa Claus Pro Set. Bill Ripken FF, Score Bo knows,81 Littlefield,89 UD Rev Neg,Leon finger etc.
anybody watching this, just a few moments ago. high bid went from $5900 to over 10K in the last few seconds....sniping at it's best or worst.
i see people drop this kinda coin at the tables all the time so whoever bought it maybe it didn't mean much.

I've spent 10,000 on packs trying to get the normal card.
