I will say $6,150.00 and I think your auction looks good and is informative. I think the people bidding on it proabably have been waiting and want it now and so maybe I am being conservative at my guess, good luck AL
<< <i>OK...It's a deal! Be the winner of the auction, at a price recorded here as your guess for the hammer price...and you get the 2006 4 coin Proof Set as a BONUS! >>
No fair... The member who guessed $64,000 has a lock!
<< <i>Why would anyone pay a premium for this or any other coin when they could have ordered from the mint themselves? >>
Non-buyers' remorse?
Really, except for the AGE sets, which were a frenzy from the get-go because of the mintage limit, I don't get it. I think that set created a precedent that makes a lot of people stampede for anything after it sells out, no matter how much time they had to buy it.
Truthfully the only thing that really bothers me is the "Holy Cow!"
I believe that if people really desire what you are selling, that they will dissect and ingest all the available information on the auction regardless of format. As long as it wasn't found in your Aunt Tillie's attic. One more thing: Picture the box in its entirety on a wooden table top or something a bit simpler. That background pattern sort of resembles a bed comforter.
Having said that my guess is $6173.22. Thanks and good luck.
"to you, a hero is some kind of weird sandwich..."
Amazing,,, just an amazing giveaway. In good fun I hope all play by a common sense rule of one guess per and no edits. It would be ashame if greed turned turned this ugly.
I think the problem will be that even if you bid your guess...with ebay's proxy bidding, your guess will not be the selling price unless someone else bids like $1 less than your bid. Even if you bid $7000, if the last bid was only 6899, the final bid would only be 6900.

Good question regarding how long guesses will be accepted...don't know yet, but I'll post it in the 1st message when decided. Think of it like ordering from the mint...if you wait too long you might not get in!

That is the mint price times PI divided by 2.
The PI is needed to celebrate with.
Divide by 2 because you need someone to celebrate with.

Good luck with the auction.
Can I edit my guess on Tuesday?
That is to keep it simple.
Most serious bidders already know about the item being listed.
The more you say the better chance you shouldn't have said it

BTW "HUGE CHANGE" --didn't want you to think we missed the pun.
I can understand if they pay a premium for a 70 as they may want to register it.
maybe someone here can explain this?
Thanks
