Half a case opened and no ink - and still not a single Then & Now! Only two GU as well, best pull so far is a Wright refractor. Time to crack a beer and hope the "bottom" half of the case is much, much better!
I made a Wal Mart run tonight. No dice. I even passed up on a 1952 Rookies blaster. I vow not to break anything until I get my Heritage! Hopefully Friday (Dave?). If not Friday I am confident I will get my 2 retail cases on Monday AND be able to pick up some blasters. Black refractors, here I come!

Jim - looks like only 13. All of the sets that are up on the Bay have 13 listed, and I didn't see any individual auctions for the Braves, Indians or Tigers. I wonder what happened to those three?
Like the original set, there is no 145. I know a lot of us appreciate this attention to detail. The only complaint is that topps is using the same pictures over and over again Cmon topps!
Kevin - I noticed that there are a few reused pictures as well. My biggest peeve with Heritage sets is when they take guys like Brooks Robinson and instead of using a picture from the era in question, they trot out some picture from the '70s that doesn't flatter him at all.
On a separate note, these yellow name and yellow team variations have totally messed up my program. I'm sure I'm not the only one that puts their Heritage sets in a 800-ct box, which perfectly fits a 495-card set with SPs and a normal amount of variations, plus FBs, NAPs and T&Ns. Not this year. 33 variations don't leave any extra room for the three insert sets. Gonna have to rethink things now.

I am gonna frame the Cincy Redlegs felt and hang it on the wall in in my den in the vicinity of my Reds pennant. I think it will look great framed with a black background.

I did at the Sringdale Ohio Walmart. They only had 2 blasters and I bought both of them. My wife is going to check again today on her lunch hour. Hopefully they replaced the ones I bought.

I have been checking the Walmarts in Wilmington, Washington C.H. and Hillsboro with no luck. The store in Wilmington just got the 2007 Topps blasters last week so they may be last in the distribution line. I also checked a Target store over in Dayton with no luck.
Thanks Mike

Busted my first 2 boxes. No autos. didnt expect one. 2 clubhouse collections in the same box. Frank and Brooks Robinson pants cards. My first black refractor, J.D.Drew, also the same box. Got another box on the way. Have not found any retail yet. You guys are right, this is the best time of the year. Dave.
Since I am photobuck-challenged and I cannot download photos, take a look at card No. 13, Wilfredo Ledezema. On one of them, near the Tigers' logo, is a little yellow triangle. On the other card there is no little yellow triangle. Great attention to detail by Topps!
In the 1958 set, Billy Hoeft had three variations and it all had to do with a little triangle down by the Tiger logo.
I just started comparing my 1958 set to the Heritage set and it is unbelieveable. Not only are the background colors the same, but many of the players have the same poses! Guys throwing, head shots and swinging bats. It's uncanny!
Paul, have you seen any of a third variation of #13 ? [It will probably deal with that triangle if it exists at all] Also, I have seen different shades of background colors in some of the same cards from the eight boxes I cracked. My card dealer also confirms that he has seen this, some are very obvious to him too, [like a red background and an orange-red background of the same card number] Was this a characteristic of the 1958's [if you have some to compare ?] Regards, Charlie G

No Herrera error -- yet. I ripped 24 boxes on Tuesday night and watched for it. I pulled seven Ledezema cards and looked for varying triangles and only saw same triangles on short print. I didn't notice any background changes (but I was awake for 30 straight hours). However, I came up with two completely blank cards. No printing on either side. In my pack with a Brooks Robinson 1/25 autograph, I was peeved that I came up with a creased card. But my mood changed when I uncovered the Robby auto. Only two packs did not have a SP or insert. SOme packs had 10 cards. Some had 5. But in two cases, I came up with three autos, two blacks, 12 relics. I'm happy with this year's pull. Much better than last year.
Because my 16 boxes would not be enough (lol).....ordered 4 more today off the bay ($46/box) and 3 2006 Heritage football to go along with them! I'm Ready to Rip!

I have opened 7 boxes and pulled a few GU stuff, but no Auto's or anything that was real cool. Then today during my lunch I went to Walmart and bought 4 blaster boxes and pulled these guys.
My scanner at work is a POS so the images suck:
EDIT: The stated odds are 1:483 so getting 2 out of 4 blasters isn't to bad

<< <i>I did at the Sringdale Ohio Walmart. >>
Thanks

My first black refractor, J.D.Drew, also the same box. Got another box on the way. Have not found any retail yet. You guys are right, this is the best time of the year. Dave.
Also, I have seen different shades of background colors in some of the same cards from the eight boxes I cracked. My card dealer also confirms that he has seen this, some are very obvious to him too, [like a red background and an orange-red background of the same card number]
Was this a characteristic of the 1958's [if you have some to compare ?]
Regards,
Charlie G
<< <i>Since I am photobuck-challenged and I cannot download photos, take a look at card No. 13, Wilfredo Ledezema. On one of them, near the Tigers' logo, is a little yellow triangle. On the other card there is no little yellow triangle. Great attention to detail by Topps!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

My scanner at work is a POS so the images suck:
EDIT: The stated odds are 1:483 so getting 2 out of 4 blasters isn't to bad
