The OFFICIAL 2006 CU Secret Santa and Gift Exchange:


RULES and Regulations: PLEASE READ THROUGH BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS

Each participant will be obligated to send a “GIFT” to another participant. The “GIFT” should have a cost value of approximately $25.00. The “GIFT” should be gift wrapped according to the season BEFORE it is then packaged to be mailed . On the outside of the package to be mailed should be placed the words CU GIFT EXCHANGE. This should help people from just randomly ripping a package open. The package should be mailed on or before the 10th of December in order to insure a delivery in time for the holidays. “GIFTS” should not be opened before the evening of the 24th of December. Besides the return address on the package, no identification of the sender is necessary.

“GIFTS” are limited in their nature to being sports related or at least something that PSA might grade or authenticate. (in the rare case of a non–sports card or autograph)

All effort will be made to match up “givers’ to “receivers” interest wise, however there are NO guarantees.

I will require the following information from each participant to be PMed or emailed to me. Email me here DO NOT post this information in a reply to this thread. All personal information received by me will be kept in strictest confidence except for your name and address to be given to your “Secret Santa”.

Information I require:

1. CU user name:
2. Real name:
3. Mailing Address:
4. Email address
5. Specify sport or sports of what you would like to RECEIVE
6. Specify sport or sports of what you are able to GIVE

The following is the list of folks who have shown interest. Other participants will be added. Once I have received the personal information above, the word “CONFIRMED” will be placed next to your user name on the list. On or about the first of December, the list will be finalized with an OFFICIAL CUT OFF TIME. On the evening of the 3rd of December the name , address, and sport interest of each participant will be PMed and/or emailed to their respective “Secret Santa”. Each participant will then be asked to let this thread or I know that their “GIFT” WAS sent. The word SENT will be placed on the master list.
The Master List will be updated on a regular basis.

Any updated information will be posted to THIS initial post.

    My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009.     UPDATE: Over the next 48-60hours I will match up everyone with what they want to get and what they are able to give. So far I see no problems..........

    On or before Sunday 12/3, I will email or PM all participants with the info of who they have to send to with all instructions, including confirming back when the item is sent.

    This is a fantastic idea and I bet everyone definitely aims not to disappoint. Personally, I can't wait to see what I get and I can't wait to pack up something nice to send to my recipient. Truly a fun contest and great idea for the holidays and this message board. I am glad that got involved with the board and am truly sorry that I haven't been more active when reading all the wonderful threads were members unite for gift exchanges, giveaways, pack/box openings.......seems like such a great board. Thanks again!

    We can put our names on the return address portion of the envelope? Right?
    So in other words the recipient will know when they get the gift who it is from.
    So if I wanted to include a Christmas Card with the gift with my name on it that would be ok?

    From the email I received:

    It sounds to me like we are not supposed to put our names on the packages. That said, if you want to include a card with your name, then go for it. This is about having fun so do what makes you happy! image

    Well said Scott.

    Some people have noted that I did not send usernames with the name and address. My reasoning: I purposely didn't include usernames in the rare instance that there would be a personality conflict. Obviously some real names are easy enough to figure out...............

    Well.....I have heard from numerous participants regarding "gifts' to be sent, a few have even sent their "gift".

    There are still many people I have NOT heard from; I just hope everyone has gotten their info........

    Packages should be sent by Monday AM December 11th to insure delivery on time. ( and perhaps sooner for the two packages that are going to Canada)
