True. But if something doesn't go exactly right ONCE, giving you the benefit of the doubt here, does that make him a "crappy dealer" as you recently posted here before you edited it out? >>
I edited out because I didn't think that it was necessary to comment negatively about him again just because one jackoff wants to pick a fight online. However, in response to your question, if I have only one transaction with a dealer and he give what I consider to be trendously crappy customer service, the yes, in my eyes he is a crappy dealer. That opinion can be changed, but in this case it wasn't. I think that this issue has been addressed enough times already. >>

I'm sorry, but this seems contradictory. You have said:
* Even good dealers act inappropriately once in a while. * Darin acted inappropriately in this situation even though pretty much every one else has had great transactions with him. * Darin is a "crappy dealer."
I have no horse in this race but this is all very contradictory. You admit that someone can be a good dealer even if they mess up once in a while (hell, we're all human and we all make mistakes and sometimes wish we handled things differently). Sounds like the overwhelming evidence is that IF Darin misstepped here some (again, giving you the benefit of the doubt), this would seem like one of those "once in a while" things. Yet you called him a "crappy dealer."
I don't have a strong opinion of right or wrong in this ONE misunderstanding and miscommunication -- sounds like both of you could have handled it better -- but I'm pretty sure Darin is NOT a crappy dealer.
<< <i>Regardless where one stands, that Fletcher guy is one smackdown, foul-mouthed dude. Yeesh. >>
Agreed. Say all you want about my not having anything you'd want anyway (which is probably true) but this thread shows me pretty clearly with whom I would not wish to deal.

You should really be careful breathing new life into old threads.
Some/many of us scan for headlines and go from there.
My reaction was that this happened before with BigD and it must have happened a second time.
I don't think everyone will take the time to follow up and their lasting memory will be that there must be something wrong with Darin because I keep seeing his name associated with negative threads.
This thread hasn't had anything to do with Darin in a long time ... it is now the last few survivors of the Circle-Jerk-Of-Trust trying to pick a fight. Unfortunate for Darin, but they just won't let it die.

You are very correct Mr. Fletcher this thread is no longer about a very stand up guy that was a victim of your demented value system.
It is about your pathetic and dismal attempts to get in the good graces of a community that attempts to shun you for the wrong you perpetuated upon Darin.
It is about the fact you can spend bigtime money on coins in the future if you like and we WILL NEVER let you forget how you wronged one of the nice guys here.

5-6 or 20-30 would make no difference to your hyper inflated ego, your self centered personality could never admit you are wrong.
So you just go ahead and buy your overdipped and under rinsed coins and praise the seller for the mail not losing them as opposed to someone selling you a quality coin that did get lost in the mail...

You sure are disparaging an awful lot of dealers and fellow collectors on this board. If your opinion actually meant anything to anyone here, it might be a tad upsetting ... but just a tad

Why won't you NEVER let him, or allow yourself, to forget?

No ... I never received it. However, I got my money back by filing a Paypal dispute 2 months later and I am sure that Darin was compensated by the PO. It is probably in some mailman's collection now
<< <i>How did you get paypal to do anything 2 months later? i thought a person had 30 days at that time, 45 now. >>
You can go back through the original thread to find the exact dates, but I got my refund a little after two months of the date of my payment which was 5 minutes after the auction ended.
