I remember watching 'hockey night in Canada' on Saturday nights when the fans would start cheering for Shack to be put on the ice......and the coach would finally relent, and Eddie would go out there and try to hit anything that was wearing an opposing uniform....this would have been in the early 70's, after Eddie's LA days....I have also met him once, about 1992, with Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe, doing a charity thing here in VAncouver...

$3500 is a bit much for the Espo GM 10.....especially since with Gerry's sources, there is a chance at another in the future......I believe the PSA GM 10 Orr All Star #212 went for $2500 USD a few years ago....private sale....

I agree. I think the next Tony O. 10 will sell for much less.

This was another case of two guys throwing a "gotta have it" bid out there.

Wasn't the #3 bidder around $2200.?

Yeah, the WHA definitely extended a few careers past their due dates: Howe, Hull, Plante, Hall, Delvecchio...

How bad is it in Beantown? The Blues suck too but there's at least the feeling that things will improve. I don't follow hockey like I used to, but I get the sense there isn't a lot of optimism regarding the Bruins.

I keep hearing that Hartford is trying to get a team but nothing ever comes from it! Sorry Bob I can't feel sorry for the Bruins but I know how it feels to follow a team that stinks for 5 or 6 years straight.
