Well I have recently been able to get back into collecting (prior budget issues had prevented it) and I decided that I wanted to attempt a graded set. After weighing my options I decided that I would chase the 73's. I'm about 25 cards in so far, and if anyone has any extra 8's laying around, I'd be interested. I look forward to building this bad boy with you guys.

Great reading on this old thread. I have never sent in a 73 for grading and have found four that look good candidates for submission.
I saw the backs of a couple of 9s in the thread, but not any backs for 8s or 7s to compare the degree of chipping, centering etc...

Comments on these four are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Charles

    Charles,
I would expect all 4 cards to grade 6, with the possible exception of the Expos Team, which may get a 7. It has less corner wear than the other 3 cards and has an exceptionally clean back. The others have considerable corner wear. Watt has printing blemishes on the surface as well as a slight tilt, and the A.L. Playoffs card also has some print spots on the surface. Montanez looks nice, but the back is poorly centered and appears to have slightly more chipping along the edges than the other cards have.
