    You should be able to build a PSA 7 set for really a very nice price. One reason I don't submit 71 anymore is because PSA 8 go for cheap also, for the commons. The other reason is because it seemed the raw I found always had problems with the corners.

    I've been lurking for a while, love the thread, so I thought I'd finally jump in. I just wanted to say I also have enjoyed Mark's FB website. I found a 1978 Charlie Joiner PSA 10 for my playerset. I'm looking forward to getting it.

    I'm working on Dan Fouts Basic/Master & Charlie Joiner Basic/Master among others. Does anyone have or have some info on 1977 Topps Mexican Fouts or Joiner. I don't see these pop up very often?

    I have recently submitted some 1977 Topps Mexican and there was a nice Fouts in there. Grades should be back within a couple of weeks. We have some raw Mexican on ebay right now as well under marks_fbcards.

    I'm also collecting the 1977 Topps Mexican set.

    Don, you may have noticed on the registry, in the #8 spot with 14 cards is Museum of Sports History.

    If MOSH starts buying boxes and opening them, that would be great because with the poor collation hopefully there would be a lot more singles on the market. Unfortunately, I don't know of many places with boxes and the only case I saw sold in 2002 in a Mastronet auction.

    I guess Fuzz was right. I guess he is going to take my metal lunch box

    Topps Mexican fans, grades are back on a (50) card lot. Grades range from PSA 4 - 8, most with qualifiers for the gum. However, quite a few 1/1, meaning first graded - NO other grades same, higher or lower! The only ones available in slabs right now.

    70's football is great.

    Because i am building GB Packers team set from 48-79 I have had the chance to acquire a small group from each year,

    I remember buying packs of 77's when I was a kid. Of course Cowboys and Steelers were the cards to pull. Tark was great because his stats took up the whole card!

    Its been great to go back and see many of the cards I pulled as a kid.


    I am always buying PSA Packers!

    At least you have a nice set - that's the important part. The way I look at it, I'll collect the set with a goal in mind (either all PSA 8, PSA 9 or PSA 10) and stick with collecting cards only in the particular condition. For instance, I'm collecting the 1971 Topps FB set in PSA 8 and above. I have a couple of 9's which will stay in my set but I won't actively update any 8's that I have. There is no reason to pay $150+ for a 9 which I can but a nice 8 for under $20 (even under $10 at times). Just my 2 cents.

    I basically do the same. My goal for 1970 was all PSA 8. My overall GPA is a little higher because the Saints are 9s and 10s.

    I overtook MOSH this year in Topps 76. I would have had last year, but he snuck in about 15-20 cards on the last day. This year I was prepared just in case.
