Patience IS a virtue, I picked these up (from our friends at 4 Sharp Corners... let the comments begin with regards to the 1988 centering) for about 2/3rds of what I have seen them close for in my past bid attempts.
Let us never forget what a bad, bad man Mr. Bo was and what could have been were it not for that fateful playoff game against the Bengals in 1990. The man popped his own hip back into its socket people. Me, I seek out my girlfriend's help with my lip quivering unapolegtically if I so much as get a splinter. I'm hardcore, I am.
These came in the mail yesterday. ETopps Allen & Ginter exclusive, limited to 999 sets.
I usally don't get suckered into ETopps, they're kinda gimmicky and most seem to loose value immediately, but I had to get this set after pulling this beauty last year...

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Picked these up last week, and they all came in the mail today.
The Smith Topps rookie, I have been seeking out for a long time
The Fleer Smith, Reardon, and John Franco were all in the same sellers auctions, I figured I might as well get them now while they were up.
The Julio Franco and Frank Viola were cheap, I think I got them both for $9, including shipping. What I reallly want is a Topps Viola and Topps Traded Julio Franco
The Mookie is was an impulse buy, did not really need it, but it was on my list.
<< <i>The Mookie is was an impulse buy, did not really need it, but it was on my list. >>
It's one of the better looking cards in the set, along with the Carew-Brett card.
Does your 82 Fleer Lee Smith have the reversed Cubs logo on the back? >>
Thanks, I thought the Mookie was a cool card too. The Smith, unfortunately, is the correct version. I do not think that there are any PSA 10 of the error version. I just love that extremely bad photography on the early eighties Donruss and Fleer.
The 93 Topps Jeter has no resembalnce to how he looks today (or when he broke in as a rookie several years later). He looks like the kid stocking shelves at the grocery store.

Thanks I believe it was probably a PSA 8 PD down graded for the qualifier. Just looking straight on it's very difficult to tell and is an incredible card. And actually, Im surprised it didnt get a 7 because the card itself is nearly flawless.
Some pre-war hockey that PSA has been extremely tough on lately. No NM/MT for me in nearly a year.

Thanks out to Roger (Rogermnj) for getting these out to me! None of the four were listed as part of the master set, so I'll have to wait a couple months before I can add 'em.
Oh heck....I will add a modern POS... but I likey very much,,,,

Hey redlegs, How much do those Partridge Meats Bench's go for? I could not open your link for yours, but mine is the same design as the kenwood. I have one that I was going to get graded with this months special, I am guessing it is a 7 or 8.
Love the 39 DiMaggio in good, hope to get that card in that grade one day. Also, that 61 Mick is outstanding - it belongs in at least a 7 holder, that is NOT a 6. Very nice stuff!
There have only been three of these Partridge Meats Johnny Bench's graded so far. I think mine is the highest graded. I believe the other two are psa 5-6. These are not that difficult to find, however, they are extremely tough to find in nice shape (psa 7 or above). I would think a psa 7 would sell for about $200.

GOLD #/50 - Check out those GUNS!
I know a LOT of you only collect vintage, but I enjoy collecting it all...from pre-war to modern
...and I actually like the designs of a few of the triple threads

The white specs is the surface of the card, this is Turkey Red. The scan makes this card look NR-MT but its really MINT.

Maybe he hes doing what Bonds does right now. Eating his green beans.

Thanks! It really is something. Very vibrant. My crappy scanner doesn't show it off very well, though.
TNP777 - It's nice to see those Butlers on here! Probably the best bunter I've ever seen. It was fun watching him play back in the day.
