I'm excited about my latest two ebay finds. First is a cabinet photograph of Mike Simon back in 1906 when he was with Peoria's minor league ballclub, he would later go on to the major's as a catcher with Pittsburgh...tough to find cabinets of guys in their minor league days back in that time period IMO.
Second pickup...as crappy looking as it is, it is still my first T3 pickup...love the artwork!
Some 1984 Donruss PSA 10s from my March submission.

Orginal ink drawings/illustrations of Jerry Cooney, Floyd Patterson & Oscar Robertson for a Syndication by Columnist/Artist/Illustrator: Alan Maver (King Features Syndicate)
Enjoy!

edit: These are framed, matted, behind glass, so these scans could be a little better, sorry!
Edit: figured I would show this ticket here (Liston "nailed" Patterson!)
Picked this up some years ago! Seems to be double-sided advertisment (circa 1950) for Hillerich & Bradsby Co., Inc. Bats (i.e. Louisville Slugger Bats)...
A beautiful foldout that may have been a saleman's advertising prop (and wholesale pricelist). I scanned it in sections. Think I overpaid (five bucks) for it! But I thought it was really cool!
Rd, the variety of your collection is truly amazing. That Floyd Patterson piece is awesome! So, when are you going to open your museum? Thanks for sharing with the group.
P.S. Always seem to pay an extra premium just to win a damn yankee!
Well, in this case, Ron's really worth it! Career Record: 170-91 ERA: 3.29. And for the 1978 season, Guidry had one of the best pitching displays in baseball history, 25-3 with a 1.74 ERA!
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Is that just a generic Pro Action? No name on the card front or on the PSA label.

For some reason, this card sells for much higher than book.....does any one know why? HOF yes, Brown yes, SP???, but an O linemen....it seems to always sell high...any insight as to why?

I think it is one of five 1972 OPC's that are, as u say, "generic Pro Action". I'm not 100% certain about this, maybe someone can "chime-in" with a better answer. All I know is PSA does use this "generic Pro Action" title for 5 different 1972 OPC cards.
edit: when I receive this item, I will update post if there is detailed info. on the reverse (as I don't know for sure!)...

You nailed it: HOF, Brownie, and SP..
Vintage football is hot and will continue to gain strength. IMO, they've been under-appreciated for years and the print runs were a fraction of their counterparts.

This arrived yesterday, but I had to pick it up from the PO today:
I picked up another one on eBay not too long after this one ended (it's from Madec's last auction). I'll use this one for my HOF Autograph set, and the raw one for my autographed 1951 Bowman set.
