<< <i>Griffens, You seem like you know the guy pretty well....have you ever seen the great cards from this collection? >>
Koby,
I'm sure Griffins has seen them, but I'll let him speak for himself. I personally haven't seen Brian's cards (except for a few scans on the boards and through emails), but I know he has them. How about you? What is in the great "Koby Kollection"? Please share!
My collection is nothing to speak of. Certainly nowhere near some of you guys. I am trying to complete a 1986 Fleer set in PSA 8 or better and a 1996 Chrome basketball refractors in raw form. I have a few LeBron James, Albert Pujols, Peyton Manning and Kobe Bryant cards. There was discussion about a key card from the 1980s set, and I thought that was a good idea. So I might make that one of my goals this year since I have many of the key rookies from that decade already.

JEB, I don't suppose you are at liberty to post pictures of some of these fantastic cards. I am just wondering what a two million dollar collection looks like. Koby

Koby,
Actually, I'm not. I just got off the phone with Brian. He requested that I not post any of his collection here, but I can tell you that it is everything that he says it is - and more! Good luck with your collection!

Koby,
What did you expect? What would you like to get out of this? Proof that he has a 2 million dollar collection? If that's what you want, I can guarantee that it is a top notch collection of extremely rare cards in high grade. Other than that, you might as well drop it - he's probably not going to post again. There are many collectors who own extremely valuable collections, some of them post here, some don't. I wish more would share their collections with us, but that's up to them. Why can't we just leave it at that?
Koby- I've talked to Brian every few months for the last couple of years. He saw I had won a few Tango Eggs and emailed me to call him. He didn't know me from Adam, but when I called was happy to tell me everything he knew about them (extensive knowledge, considering he'd handled the vast majority of them, buying the bulk of the find and parcelling them out) and where I might be able to find others. I've bought a handful of cards from him (no Tango's, so there certainly wasn't an ulterior motive), lost more than a few to him on ebay, and seen scans of a bunch of others. BcD, along with Pete Calderon, Mark Macrae and a few others have spent decades studying and collecting E Cards and their knowledge has greatly furthered the understanding of this series. If you're doubting his collection I have no idea of the value of it, but as he clarified it is made up of cards, coins, and a few other things he collects. I don't have any reason to doubt him, but I also don't really care how much someone is holding. He tracked down and helped a fellow collector with absolutely nothing to gain for himself, and to me that says everything I need to know.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
JEB, I think it was marz himself who offered to post some scans.

Griffins, Thank you for your clarification. I never doubted marz has a two million dollar collection since that is what he wrote. I was just curious what cards were in that collection. If he has changed his mind and no longer wishes to post pictures on here of cards and coins, then I will not ask again.
<< <i>JEB, I thought you were the first person to ask marz to "Please share!" What did you expect? >>
I had hoped he would share, for everyone's benefit. It's too bad that you won't get to see some of the stuff he has. I understand his apprehension, considering the verbal berating he has received here, some of it from myself, admittedly. In my case, it was a misunderstanding and I've discussed it with Brian. Maybe if you reconcile with Brian, he'll share some of his collection with you as well.
Hi JEB, Keep in mind that it was Marz that started the verbal beatings. He may be a collecting guru, but he really appears to be less than a friendly guy.
Collecting all graded Alan Trammell graded cards as well as graded 1984 Topps, Donruss, and Fleer Detroit Tigers

Jim,
That's just what you see on the message boards. He does come off as arrogant, but that's just the way he posts. He is much different during a one on one personal conversation.

Marz said he'd be willing to share some of his collection privately, if you are interested. You can email me at jeb@virtualizard.com if you are interested.
Well, I went to add another card (which would be my 4th) to the Dave Winfield Master Set, and I discovered that my 3 cards qualify me for #1 on that registry (#2 has 1 card).
Well, I'm still #1 on 3 sets, but it's now the Don Sutton Master Set (the only one registered), Dave Winfield Master Set, and Don Drysdale Master Set. Thankfully, someone has passed my 3-card effort on the Orlando Cepeda Master Set.
Everyone is forgiven for not passing me yet on the Sutton set, because it was just added tonight, but there's no way that I should be anywhere near #1 on either the Drysdale or Winfield sets.

That and 25 cents will get me a daily paper.
