ROFL! Best Pedigree I've seen on a PCGS holder, was this set of Silver Proof Coins (Morgan and Barbers) that were pedigreed to the "Sweet Collection" image

What series is your collection ? I plan on doing the same thing when my cross overs come back from PCGS.

I'm just using my full name for the tag insert.

I'm going to use "Sample" as my pedigree. Those seem to sell for way more than the coin is worth!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

How about "Shrek 2"? Or do you prefer Spiderman? Maybe "Dodgeball"--then you can really celebrate the dumbing down.

Good idea. I hope PCGS never does this or it will make alot of e-mails for me from people asking if that is a sample slab.

Your name, or the name of your set on the holder label. Like Eliasberg, or Norweb, or Binion, or Lee, etc. If your set is 100% complete, is in the top 5 all time finest and is not a modern set, it's free. Just pay shipping. If it doesn't meet the criteria, you can still have it done for a fee.

From what I have been told, you can have your set Pedigreed at no charge if you are in the top 5 sets and the set is complete.

PCGS has started to pedigree my top five set, even though it is not 100% complete. I'm not sure why.

They changed the rules. I asked when PCGS Customer Service was in Milwaukee. You have to be in the top four all-time, and that is the only way. Less than the top four all-time, and they will not pedigree the set. This is what I was told about six weeks ago. Who knows, thought, they may change their policy again.
