Kudos to wayneherndon and a little self-gratification for the FatMan

Wayne is a true pro. Last Sunday I mentioned to Wayne that all I needed to complete my modern commem silver dollar set was the 1996-D High Jump. Wayne pulled one out of his case and before even showing it to me he said I probably didn't want it because it had a small spot on the reverse. He said he would look for another and get it to me in the mail. This morning I went to the Post Office to pickup an insured package and sure enough Wayne had found one and sent it to me. Says if I like it to just put a check in the mail.

Wayne....the coin is a keeper and the checks in the mail.

Self-Gratification time.......................I'm done, Its over, Its complete, five years of searching and buying modern silver dollar commems (proofs & unc) has come to conclusion. Now all I have to do is stay current with new releases. Here's the final hole filler.

Here's the rest:

FatMans Modern Commems Proof

Oh....for all of the modern bashers our there, remember I just acquired a 1852-D Half Eagle. I go both ways.

John - CONGRATULATIONS on getting your set done!! I know that's a great source of satisfaction, particularly when you can sit down - lay them all out and just appreciate what you have - that's wonderful! What's going to be next on the agenda for you?

As for Wayne Herndon - the guy is tops in my book as well - a gentleman and a great guy to chat coins with - You two are the kind of people we need more of in this business!!! image

Way to go, Fatman. And congratulations. The classic commems should keep you busy for quite some time to come though.
