It's moronic to use your own name on these boards!

MrEurekaMrEureka Posts: 24,186 ✭✭✭✭✭
WHATEVER you say:

70% of the people will ignore it.

25% will mildly appreciate it.

5% will be really pissed off at you, either because they misunderstood you or because you told the truth.

Better to remain anonymous.

I disagree. If you have good posts, and are helpful, people will recognize your name and put it together with a face at shows. It has only helped me.

Better to remain anonymous. wouldn't that be sweet, to make a post with the other members not knowing who's made it!!! yikes.

unfortunately, this forum functions much like the real world with cliques, cronyism and thin-skinned personalities being ever-present. such is life. the only sensible approach for me is to speak my truth as i understand it, attempt not to intentionally offend anyone and move onward and hopefully upward.

Hi, my Name is Les Levin, want to steal my stuff? Go ahead punk, make my day?

Do you feel lucky punk, well do you?

Advice is understood, but i refuse to live in a world run by the bad guys. I take certain precautions to safegaurd my valuables, but pretending to be a make beleive name to everyone is not one of them. Nor do i leave expensive valuables lying around the house. But if you break in i have a double barreled suprise for you [pump action] that is. Les

It matters not if you choose to use your name or not use your name.

What matters is the content of your thread or reply. Sooner or later, each of us will make

someone mad at us.It is the price for speaking the truth as we know it.

Some people are brilliant, others are occassionally coherant, others are maroons and

most folks are just pleasent , kind and loaded with common sense.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but using your own name and replying to posts about: "What zip code are you in?-- Do you use a safe deposit box? How much ready cash do you have on hand? etc., etc. doesn't seem wise. I'll stay anonymous thank you.

As an identifiable and perhaps certifiable moron, image I must say that I resemble that remark. I figure that if a potential customer gets mad at me for what I say here, chances are I’d screw up somewhere further down the line and mess up the relationship anyway. With me, what you see is what you get. image

BTW It took me many years to work my way up from imbecile image to moron image I'm proud of that. image

I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?

Matallus, I Knew your father Lucius Flavious Cymber. Many was the time we went to the Sports Forum

to watch the tigers and the bears play and have a couple of Dodger Dogs. The wine flowed,

the crowds cheered and the animals ate well on those happy festive days.

By the way, you can use a name other then your own and still be a maroon , or is that
