Sorry too many rules for this quiz.... oh you want the favorite thing. This is a great place to swap knowledge related (and sometimes not) to coins. A great place to share images, and maybe some opinions.

I think this board has probably the most "astute" collectors and dealers giving input. I like to give help and opinions once in a while if someone is willing to learn. Hopefully I've helped someone along this journey.

I sometimes like to share my own coin images (not that the images are any good) because it's not like you can go the the neighbor or down the street and share coins. Not in my neck of the woods anyway!!!

Mark, only naming one thing!!! Oh well, i'd have to say the different favorites we all collect. Some love series i've never collected and sooo many people have different favorites. I think i've heard almost every series is collected by someone here. Les

I really like the opportunity to learn from dealers/collectors who know much more about coins than I do, and share it with me and others.

    The collective knowledge.
  • lavalava Posts: 3,286 ✭✭✭
Not only the knowledge, but the lengths that forum members are willing to go to share their knowledge. I have followed a number of threads in which numerous collectors traded views on grades and the like. The time obviously spent by everyone on these serious threads almost always ended up in a very insightful analysis, and the collective by-product is almost always better than any one member could formulate. That is truly valuable, and most enjoyable.

I tend to even think in conjunctions so a single answer may prove difficult.

My favorite thing about the forums is being able to see the many perspectives
of the many collectors and the many ways they've gotten to where they are and
the many ways they've found to enjoy the hobby.

I hope this isn't many too many answers.

Coming here I geuss the camaraderie. The people I see regularly are bored senseless when I talk about coins. I may as well give them a sleeping pill when I do talk about them.

Anyway, where else can you see something like this:
