Every day in America, hundreds are forcefully incarcerated with almost no public notice. Many are locked away in confined cells, never to feel the warm touch of a human hand again. Those who carry out these deeds say they are doing it for everyone's good and the protection of those imprisoned. We concerned freedom fighters, however, know better.

For less than a dollar a day, you can help us at the ACLU (American Coin Liberation Union) free imprisoned coins from their plastic cells. There is on good thing about slabs. The plastic spares nice original coins from the indignity of getting dipped in acid so that a fickle owner or customer can see it turn red, white or whatever color is now in vogue. Some incarcerations are a form of “protective custody.”
