I have four questions in regards to this coin. Is it graded accurately at XF40? Also, would it CAC? Does it have good eye appeal for the grade? What would you price it as?
Thank-you!!

I did, however for some reason they did not upload - please hold
There you go... sorry, I chose the file upload instead of the image upload
What do you think
Looks like a solid 40. Can't tell if it would CAC though. The marks on the obverse make me think probably not.

Is that straight line through the hair a scratch? I see original silver under the crust, I like it as XF40.
yes, but very old and faint. this is a very high resolution image and under magnification.
Looks well graded at 40, unsure if it would bean.
You mistakenly posted this on "my wall" instead of here.
I would wager If it doesn't jump off the coin like in the photo I don't see why it wouldn't sticker. It seems meaty and original enough to me.
Sorry Meltdown, I'm new and trying to get used to the functions here. Is there a way I can reply directly to a comment separately or is this the only way to do it.
I like it within the XF grade and do believe it'll CAC.
Nice early half.
Thank-you braddick! This coin is very special to me and looks amazing in hand.
Nice coin and welcome to the forum
Nice coin but I do not believe it merits CAC approval

Your title says 1802, but the coin is 1807. Did you place the proper photos in?

First of all, it's an 1807 half dollar, not an 1802. There is big difference in value.
Second, if the grade is EF-40, it looks accurate. My question is, why is the obverse grey and the reverse pale yellow? My guess is it's a white balance issue with the photograph. If that's the case, I think that there is a good chance that it will CAC. If the obverse and reverse look that different, chances are it won't CAC. Two different colors suggest "messed with."
Here is an 1806 half dollar which was stuck under similar circumstances to the 1807 pieces. This one has a lot of luster and has an NGC grade of AU-58. I don't know if it would CAC or not since I don't care much about such things.
This was graded AU-50 when I bought it in a David Akers auction more than 50 years ago. It shows how grading changes over time.
It looks like an 1807. You could correct the thread title by clicking on the "gear" button on upper right.
It looks like it's original and lustrous with high end eye appeal.
I cannot speak about price; check Heritage and Great Collection archives for the best information like that. I have never sent a coin to CAC yet. The coin looks to be a wonderful piece with some residual luster. I would give it a grade of XF-40 with a shot at CHXF-45 if that luster is anything remotely original. James
I really do like these early halves. I had one two years ago around the same grade. I foolishly sold it at a coin show to fund another purchase. I wouldn't do it again.
Another one is on my short list.

This is graded 40 details scratched in an old ANACS holder. I believe it would straight grade today.
I think it would sticker as a 40. To me it looks AU.
@earlyamericancoin That's a nice looking DBH from what I can see. I think EF40 is a fair grade, and the correct grade as well. I don't think it will CAC (I'd probably give it a 35/40% chance from the images) but I still think it's pretty strong and overall pretty wholesome too.
The images are kind of tough to tell, but that's my 50c worth

Looks like a properly graded EF 40 but I would not count on a green bean, CAC seems to find many things to dislike about early type and these have the hardest coins for me to get beaned.
