Years ago I bought a beautiful original VF 1802 in an ANACs slab, I believe I bought it off Liz Coggan when she was at JJ TeaParty (I think I have that right?) and like an idiot I sold it… for ghod knows what… I love 1801 and 02 DBHs… sigh

This was is NGC graded AU-58. In 1973, it was graded AU-50 in a David Acres auction, held in New York City.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

An 1806 or 1807 Draped Bust Quarter and Half are on my radar. Not this year; have a once in a lifetime trip upcoming.

For those of you (like me) who are always on the lookout, I have it on good authority that one of the most complete DBH Sets by Overton Number is coming up for sale in the next six months. Some of these coins should be available for viewing at the ANA show next month.

I have seen some of these coins in person, and the owner has a fantastic eye. There will be many upper grade coins (EF40 to AU55) and some outstanding rarities.

    Watch for the news!

Ok Todd, but those who are looking for a VF or XF can PM me. I still have some Horning halves remaining. They will be on display this weekend at the Cincinnati coin show. See thread about the show if interested.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Good reminder to anyone looking for something special. Charlie had some nice coins!

Good luck in Cinci' ... looking forward to seeing you in OKC.

Oh hell, who even knows any more Brad. One way or another, someone's buying, and it probably won't matter after the first couple. :D

    Maybe Charlie will buy? B)
