If you had more money what would you collect?

I collect US dimes and Latin American 1 reales (dime sized). But if I had deeper pockets I would collect US dollars and Latin American 4 reales and 8 reales (50 cents and dollars).

I'd collect the same thing i collect now, but the overall quality and progress of the collection would be higher.
8 Reales Madness Collection
Many refer to them as "royals", they are well-struck presentation cobs on special round planchets. They are beautiful, usually unique coins and incredibly historic, they seem to go for 5k-10k for holed/plugged ones (most are) and 20k and up for straight grades.
I'd do what I do now, albeit more effectively. I'd work more gold into it as well.

The best collecting goals lie right on the border between the possible and the impossible. - Andy Lustig, "MrEureka"
After seeing the Tyrants collection of Spanish Colonial coins (and he's a billionaire who made the choice to focus solely on the Mexico mint, which I'm assuming was in part due to there simply being more examples available of the various denominations overall than what can be found from other mints.) I'm not so sure that there is all that much more improvement that could actually be made to the collection you've assembled thus far.

I would go for more and higher grade crown/thaler sized European coins, as well as some nice colonial Mexican pieces.
I really appreciate your kind words, but the Tyrant Collection is in a league of its own. There are a few collectors in this space that I can't go toe to toe with in an auction, which means there are and will be pieces that I would want in my set but can't afford. I fully understand that. To me, the journey is just as exciting as the collection itself, so I'll keep pushing forward looking for new varieties and trying to add the best coins I can.

I'd probably have a few more coins but a lot more land
Circulating gold coins from circa 1800 to 1950 with a focus on Sovereigns, German Mark, French 20 Francs and their foreign counterparts (Latin Monetary Union) and US gold coins.
Right now I unfortunately only have my change from metal detecting and the deposit money from occasionally collecting empty cans to fund my coin collection, usually the equivalent of one gold coin and a few silvers per year.
I'd have to have a much bigger budget before I'd put any "meaningful" money into another primary interest. I could easily spend seven figures on my current one without buying condition census coins by expanding it to 8R from all mints. I'd start by attempting to buy plate coins privately where I'd almost certainly have to pay multiples to my estimate of market.
I already have a few side collections.
