Wow, I have a host of favorites ... so it can be hard to decide from one day to the next. I feel very fortunate in that respect too. Proud to have them as part of my group.
How about this gorgeous 1827 O-116 for today, since she is kind of the standard they all aspire to be at this grade, at least around here.

My favorite half dollar changes from day to day, or even hour to hour.
Here are some of my favorites that I have made (by submitting raw coins to our host).
And here is a favorite that I purchased slabbed about a year ago.
1814/3 AU55 - sold in the Dr. Jack Adams sale (Pugh) in 1992 raw as XF45

BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
WOW.....fantastic halves

Commems and Early Type
One of my favorite U.S. Half dollars. And no, I don't own it but I wish I did!

The Norweb 07-114 MS65
Unbelievable

Hard to choose, but if I had to pick only one:
“The thrill of the hunt never gets old”
PCGS Registry: Screaming Eagles
Copperindian
Retired sets: Soaring Eagles
Copperindian
Nickelodeon
Don't own many of this series but this one fell into my lap...
I sold this beauty.
Dont tease us like that @Nederveit2
Damn what a lovely obverse ... but we need to see the reverse too!

I have to agree, lots of favorites. But for right now, today, I’m leaning towards….
1820 O.108 PCGS MS62 CAC (Ex. Eliasberg)
Dave
MS67

This is the finest known of a rare die variety. I just liked the eye appeal.
It's not pretty, but it's expensive. It was the last type coin I needed to finish the half through non gold dollar coin type set.
I found this one at a Lakeland hobby and coin show. You never know what might crop up there. The grade is MS-64, and it's "all there."
Dave, do you know who had this before Eliasberg?
It wasn’t Clapp was it? 👀
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
No, I wish I knew. Unfortunately, there is provenance info for this coin in the Eliasberg catalog.
I owned this one for many years and sold several years ago. Wished I'd have kept it.
Right now I sort of like this one:
How about a Barber?
Beautiful, and not mine, sorry. Not good at taking pictures

My favorite changes from day to day
Lafayette Grading Set
Like @pocketpiececommems, my favorite changes often between a half dozen coins, a few of which are slabbed but not photographed. I decided to go with scarcity to break the tie.
My first time on Heritage Auctions and in my first live, on-line auction, I spotted and wanted this 1851 so badly that I hit the bid button to the point where I bid $4000 on the next coin, an 1852-O in MS65. It was totally moronic bidding, but it worked.
