The ANA convention in Rosemont ( Chicago ),Illinois opens one month from today. It runs from August 6-10. O'Hare airport is extremely close, there are several hotels connected to the convention center and there is also a parking garage connected to the center.
The ANA show is the highlight of the year for me. I am anticipating a great show. Who is going?

If you are ambitious, the El takes you to Rosemont and the show is a short two or three block walk, just watch out for cars screaming off the highway.

Oh, I know. I just didn't want to admit to how miserable a flight it is. I've taken this red eye more time than I can count, and it's absolutely brutal. It's simply not long enough to be a redeye, even if you sleep from takeoff to touchdown. Alas, there's always coffee.

Tuesday is not for early birds only. Tuesday opens at 1PM. All other days the show opens at 10 AM. ANA members are admitted 30 minutes early each day.
I am definite maybe. Rosemont is an easy in and out but work is usually bad in August.
