Very nice and congrats!
It looks undergraded IMHO.
Congrats!

Great coins in this thread! Thanks for posting them!

Great coin!!! I also love S-mint no motto gold! Newest one for me:
Chopmarked Trade Dollar Registry Set --- US & World Gold Showcase --- World Chopmark Showcase

MPL's - Lincolns of Color
Central Valley Roosevelts
That 60-S eagle is a tough date.
Here's one of mine:
This date was thought to be pretty rare - CoinFacts estimates survival at 85 - but Fairmont is adding to the population. I am happy with this one though.

Lotsa nice gold! These are ones I’ve never posted before:

The 1854-S gold dollar is not rare, but I like it because it's the only affordable gold coin that was issued during the San Francisco Mint's first year of operations.
Not gold, or high grade like others in this thread, but this is probably my rarest and favorite S mint coin!

Quite a rare coin, and neat to own as such.
I wonder what happened to the original mintage of 5000?
IMO the value is reasonable in relation to the rarity, due to relatively limited demand. Consider what a US Large cent of equivalent rarity might be worth, likely multiples of this piece.
Not rare, but one I’m very fond of:

Hi Skier,
It looks XF to me too! Doug Winter felt the reverse was just slightly too warn for XF-40. Thank you!
The 1857-s is a lovely coin!!!
The 1860-s $5 is Very original, choice and rare as well!
The 1856-S $10 is gorgeous and original!
"The" Barber Quarter to own! Love it!
Only 1039 1883 proof seated Liberty quarters where minted.
Also your 1860 s gold eagle looks good for VF 35, maybe it will CAC if you send it in.
That is a beautiful proof Seated Quarter of a low mintage date! I will drive out to CAC in NJ, if no one has attempted CAC on this coin. Will ask the seller. Thanks!
What a beautiful 1857-s $20!
A nice key date!
Great strike and luster!
The only thing I know about these early SF coins is that they were used more in circulation than Philly coins, even $10 gold! It seems that a SF coin with the same mintage as a Philly coin during this early period will be rarer. As an example, this date with the 5K mintage is even rarer than an 1876 $10 with a mintage of 687 (about 45-50 known). There were more collectors in the east too that kept some of the Philadelphia coins.
Hope this series gets more popular, large cents look out!
A few S mint halves:
Nothing that qualifies as rare in this group, but I love early SF coins and have a small collection of them.
1) 1850 Moffat $5. An iconic pioneer gold issue from the most famous of private coiners.
2) 1854-S $20. Inaugural denomination produced by the SF Mint and the first US coin made west of the Mississippi.
3) 1855-S $1. First half dollar produced by the SF Mint, yet few were saved, making it a tough semi-key.
4) 1859-S $1. First silver dollar made in SF, and known as “America’s First Trade Dollar” because it was made expressly for overseas commerce.
5) 1870-S $10. Of the legendary 1870 Granite Lady cornerstone coins, I believe this is the scarcest denomination that is not unobtanium.
6) 1915-S Pan-Pac 50c. The first commemorative half produced at a branch mint, and symbolic of SF’s rebirth from one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history (1906 quake).
Here are a couple more that I like:

I own on S mint gold nor any truly rare S mint coins, but I do like these.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Eldorado, The next time you show your coins, I'm going to need a defibrillator handy. That 1901-s 50c blew my mind!
Great eye appeal!
All very choice coins with some really scarce dates, especially in these conditions.
A nice nice cent!
A very well thought out set, with lovely and rare coins! My local coin club president asked me to do a presentation on the SF mint. You know a lot more about it than I do! Gotta research.
A very cool set!

Are you kidding me with that1874-S Arrows Half

I sold this 60-S a while back. I'm going to keep the 66-S. Even in 62 it's a pricey coin.
That 66-s is a prized rarity and likely condition census. I like the blue toning as well and originality as well. The 60-s is quite nice as well! I was happy to have a 60-s XF-45.

What a great run of s mint scarce and rare $5! Many of them are making my mouth water, I am slobbering at this point! The 62-s is the toughest of the group. Here is my 65-s My only S $5
I like this one.
Thank you.

Very nice coin! It's cool that you were able to attribute an 1887-s, since the date has so many variations! Some of which are subtle.
I've shown this a lot lately, but it's by far my toughest S mint. Glad to own her for a time.
This one isn't rare but is really hard to find with any kind of eye appeal.
If it could speak about where its been!> @fastfreddie said:
Both of your coins are especially nice. The 1872-s is a great date! Way back, in the 1990's I had a F-15. This was back when NYC shows had coins like that.
I like this one, and the nicest early SF coin besides decent 1854 S and 1856 S gold dollars:

Keen eye buddy! Good luck finding an AU-58...That would be a prize for sure. They are very rare. Mine is the MS-66+ ex. Eliasberg coin, and I never get tired of staring at it. Best, Eldo.
