Thanks. Will take a Rookie Roll Call in a 9 any day. Havent seen a Faulk that high yet but would love to own one. Its a strange material, dont think they age well.
Wimbledon is just three weeks away and I just landed these two historic rare tickets. 1981 Men's Final - John McEnroe's 1st Wimbledon title. Its the only one graded by PSA. 1981 was also the last year that the Men's Final was played on a Saturday. And 1993 Men's Final - Pete Sampras 1st Wimbledon title. One of only two graded by PSA.
So jealous! It's all June Swoon for me. I went back freelance and money isn't as consistent, nothing's selling on Ebay, plus we had a real estate deal go south, so I've had no disposable cash to buy anything for months! Ugh. But great fun seeing what you guys have pulled in!
Had 3 subs that all interestingly popped close to the same time. This was the one I cared most about and was very happy. I saw this as a situation most of us have experienced. I think I got the grader who was in a good mood. Love when that happens. Surpassed my expectations just a bit which does not happen often. Doubted I would get a PSA 10 from 1980 Topps in my life again, even if it was a cheap high pop one. The Bochy is a POP 1 so love that.
Like a few others here, I also collect comics. I rarely post comic related acquisitions here for obvious reasons, but this is a book I have been looking for in super nice shape for over a decade. Stoked to finally obtain it!

The first time I ever saw this, I began an immediate search that has lasted almost two years, so entranced was I by the image. This particular example is the 5x7; I’m not positive but I think there is also a larger one.

My boy is into non-sport, which means I am getting into non-sport. I found this at a show this weekend for a decent price. I have to admit, I am excited to add this to my collection just as much as any sports box I purchased. 5 hits per box!
I remember watching this series after school but then they stopped showing them.

Card & comic wise, slow year here thus far. Drexler! Scan. Welp, I'm awful scanning refractors. I'm equally awful taking pics of refractors
Highlights of a 90 card Rookie Cup dual grade submission that came in end of the week.

Those are all nice. The Murray is magnificent. Very nice 8 and great auto placement. Congrats.
Thank you...It was a fortunate LCS find. The centering and blue box condition really grabbed my attention.
I just got around to selecting the cards for my 2023 TSC set and wanted to share this one.
It's not in there with the iconic 71T but I really appreciate the concentration in Munson's eyes.
Did he "nail" Garvey?
Here's what may be the play in the 1977 WS - Rivers connects with Munson - Garvey out! (he disagreed).

Yanks won game 1 - 4-3
And 1 more photo - what a play - ump looked out of position to make the call IMO.
One for my Bech run.
Also a Bunning card.

Another Derek Sanderson Rookie for my collection. Nicest looking 5 I've ever seen. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Love the 1980 Simmons.
Thanks. I do love the way that card looks. The color. Ted all geared up. The all-star banner. If I could just get that fish eye out the banner.
For the 61 auto set:
Just arrived at my door and signed for:
Just won this to go with the regular issue.
Here are a couple of original rookie photos of Jim Rice and Carlton Fisk that I recently had graded.

A couple of tough Wakefield refractors.
The bottom border of the 2004 Black Refractor isn't chipped, it's just the way the light hits it.

Awesome. Loved that show. Where I live it was replaced with Banana Splits and we were all so mad. Hadn’t thought of Battle of the Planets in decades.
hey Brad...
Banana Splits = BS...
