It is very difficult to find this card in high end as well as centered. I recently pulled the trigger on this beautiful 8 of The Say Hey Kid.

Beautiful card. That should have been graded a 9!
i got these two bretts the last two weeks.
Just got these ones back from a March submission:
Nice run of Cubs! Love the Wrigley backgrounds on Hundley and Dawson.
The ‘61 Mays would not look out of place in an 8.5…increasing the POP on that card in that grade to just a four (4). Very difficult card in high end…
Light touches on the corners is the only reason for an eight (8).
Thanks, and I totally agree about the backgrounds! I especially love the ivy behind Dawson.
Recent show pickups,
I am one that usually can't find any deals but today was different. The gentleman had $20 on the Rose and $3 on the Doby he said he'd take $17 for both couldn't get my wallet out fast enough
Walked around for awhile longer and came back to his table. Found another box he had tucked away. I found a 1974 Kellogs Reggie Jackson psa 9 asked what he wanted he said $20 sounded good to me so I grabbed it
Then found another box with another psa 6 1971 Rose he said $20 bucks take it
I think I did pretty good today
I especially like the Kellogg’s Reggie….nice pickups.
Damn. 420 bucks for that 6 Rose is awesome. Great buy!
I love the Kellogg sets. I wish others did because they’re cool but not valued high enough in my opinion.
Went to a show today in Conroe TX. Really good show that had quite a bit of vintage. I was able to add a few cards to my Kaline collection and also picked up a PSA 6 Sinkwich for my 1955 Topps All-American set. Not card related but there was also a dealer with a game used baseball grab bag and I pulled a Marcell Ozuna Double from 2014.

A couple of pickups for my PC from a couple of outstanding board members.
Beautiful Mays Monte. Congrats. Love the Cubs autos! Wow on the ‘71 Benches. I would have snatched up that 8.5 if you didn’t beat me to it.
Here are my pickups from REA. The Jackie has a wrinkle in the upper left at the bottom of the border but I was in love with the centering and color. Getting close on the ‘56 HOF set now. Love ‘54 Topps and only had one red background so decided to go for the Rizzuto.
Speculating on him to do well and with all the Patriots fans in the country this card should do well.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
KC,
Some killer JB pickups. That 71 is one of my favorites. Those are both monster grabs congrats. Not many 8.5's out there. Last I looked there were only seven 8.5's and eight 9's. I'm glade I landed my 8.5 several years ago.
Added this to my HOF RC Collection.
How much did it sale for is one of the funniest and most ignorant things I've ever heard.
These are incredibly difficult to find and they are representative of three different pickups that just happened to arrive on the same day accounting for a marvelous mail day and a jolly June jump off. Realistically, I would describe the three individual team examples as likely to grade out as poor and that’s ok with me especially for the 1967. As for the other ‘67 specimen, I do think there’s some pretty good potential for a relatively high grade on the solo player example; I use the term “relatively” because these simply don’t and can’t really earn very high grades because of the nature of issuance and the stock, a very thin and delicate magazine-like paper quality that is now fifty to sixty years old.
Without further ado, I am ecstatic to share these new additions to kick off the first month of summer…

New to the forum and love the idea of a monthly member pick-up thread. What a great way to see a wide variety of cool cards from all ages.
This is my contribution, purchased yesterday. Certainly not the smoke show quality of others I’ve seen on this thread, but my requirements were simply ‘better-than-decent centering and nice eye appeal for the grade’, and I didn’t want to bust my budget. I like it

Man, that is superb! Don’t think I’ve ever seen one that nice in a 61 HOF’er! Congrats!
Pop 10 in all grades. One to fill the hole in my Griffey Basic Set. Takes me to 213/221 for completion. 96.38%.. Getting there!!

Here are a few new ones back from
PSA
Awesome Messier!
I picked this Feller up along with a few '71s but didn't have a chance to scan it until today. Got a good deal on this Spahn which I'll have to cross for registry.
Autographs I couldn't resist - all upgrades for me.
Getting close on '71 HOF Auto Set - I do not have the Clemente.. I think there are 6 of them out there.
Recent Submission - I thought I had a shot on both of these. My subs have been going slooooow lately.
One I didn't have for registry.
I had another sub just hit Assembly this morning so maybe in a few days, weeks, or months I'll know the fate of a '51 Monte Irvin, '66 Sutton, & '72 Fisk. Thinking 3/10, 4/10, 8/10 on those. Been a good June already.
Two nice condition Yanks for my quest to collect the two World Series teams from 55-56.
With all this great stuff, I almost feel like not posting but Beam Teams are a hard pull in blasters.
Good player for sure. .906 OPS - nothing to sneeze at IMO.
And I'm gonna add a better scan of a blaster pull I posted a while back.
That Joe Collins holds a special place in my heart, it was the first 1950's card I ever owned, bought it at an antique shop when I was 9 or 10 years old.
An SGC re-holder. Billy was in an old, scuffed up, green label holder. Want all my Red Heart's in the same type of holder.
I bought this for myself for Father’s Day then notified my family.
Sweet 72 Rookies. Another one of those I always loved and even bought the OPC a few years back. Such a cool card and Cooper is seriously underrated as a player.
1 closer on my 72 team
2004 spx
1989 topps psa 10
1959 phillies
Phillies of the 70's
Love the Red Hearts and that Billy is a beauty!!
Great returns! Love the double dime Papi!!

Assembly -> Grades Ready in 2 days... New Record for me.
I thought 3/10 on the Irvin.
I thought 4/10 on the Sutton.
I thought 8/10 on the Fisk -- but secretly... I was hoping for 9/10.
One thing I noticed with this sub... PSA must have exhausted the cert space and appears to be going back and reusing cert IDs which are not used in the database.
These 3 were already PSA slabbed, but had not been graded for Auto, Card, or Both. In the past they had ranges allocated for customers, and early on, the ranges were allocated for individual graders, so there are lots of gaps; millions of IDs gaps. But considering how quickly the IDs have been consumed in the past few years I think we have a new number system, or we just see them move into the Billions soon, maybe letters... let's go crazy.
"We'll never need more than 8 digits..."
Eventually…PSA will have to use 9-digit serial numbers: 10xxxxxxx
Here is the original Irvin - same cert #. Has anyone seen this done before? It's kind of not a big deal, but also kind of a big deal, right?
I needed these cards for my 73/74 hall of famers collection and picked them up over last the 2 weeks.

My first pickups in roughly a year as I took a break for a while. They are all for various HOF sets I have started.

The latest '58 addition to the set.
This comment is not worthy of it's own thread but I did find a review from a buyer with a very good sense of humor.
I'm a big fan of Bowman for the prospects and well cut paper RCs.
But, I can't really recommend the Mega boxes due to cost @ 50 big ones.
Here's review stats from the Target website:

Have a weakness for those shiny die-cut inserts....could be worse.
This Eric the Red rookie is typically way O/C, but I found a great 8 that wasn't all that bad. Happy to finally add this rookie to my 75-95 rookie collection.

Not here yet but FedEx says they will arrive today. At a point where I feel some types cards may make sense for SGC, some for PSA. Auto cards of any quantity mixed in with non-autoed cards for $15, that appealed so built up a batch for them. Also slowly working on an older Leaders cards collection that I think I will run through them.
