So I was contacted a few days after @Upgraedd above on Jan 22. I returned the application within an hour of it arriving. In that time my queue position improved by 4 spots. Just got the welcome email today. I think they might have put a pause or slow down on processing new members, but it's OK, after a long wait, I'm in now. Look out JA!
3) he mentioned a friend of his from (won’t say auction house name) is only getting 25% to sticker now vs “a much higher % than before since that’s how he makes a living”…. Won’t go any deeper on what that might mean.
I’m intrigued by this point. Are you saying a person is able to make a living by buying already slabbed non cac stickered coins, and submit them to cac to get the sticker, and survive off the new increased value? I suppose I understand if he is getting a large percentage of gold cac stickers on his submissions, but is there that much available material that hasn’t been to cac before, as well as that much of a percentage increase in value after it gets a green sticker?
(If he is starting off with raw coins and submitting to a tpg then cac afterwards, I consider that a regular method of making money with coins)
You have to consider any slabbed (non CAC) coin may have already been to CAC
This post is a thank you to @MFeld
Many years ago when Mark was still a dealer, I bought 43 coins from him over time.
Five of the coins already had the green sticker. Just for fun, I sent the other 38 coins to CAC, last month. 28 of the coins received a sticker and 2 of those were gold. That's about 74%.
I'm really happy to have had Mark's help.

Ugh, color me envious. I wish I was around when Mark was a dealer.
He use to work for (maybe with) Pinnacle when they were still in Tacoma. He sent me on approval a uncirculated Seated Dollar. I did send it back but was humbled that he would trust me like that.

If you look at the FAQ, basically they are looking to admit more members to CAC Grading without increasing the workload on CAC Stickering. The FAQ indicates that CACS is running at full capacity and that CACG has available capacity.
Also if you're on the wait list, they are not allowing new members at the moment (probably until CACS business drops off, if that ever happens).
Interesting...
In light of this info, it would appear that CACS will be around for a long time as demand for stickers is as high as ever.

This threw me for a loop when I received the email. I wasn’t expecting that. I think it’s admirable they’re gave priority to those of us on the list.
What priority? Now anyone with $99 can be a member for CAC grading..

Waitlisters are priority for the sticker service, the $99 is only for grading membership.

Thank you for clarifying!
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

“ Before we invite anyone else to join, we wanted you to have the first chance as a member of the wait list!”
I took that from the email I received. Perhaps I took it too literally?
