Probably folks here would need a bit more info than provided if you are looking for answers, however I don’t believe the “forum” writing an appeal would have any real impact with eBay. Care to elaborate on what started the issue and what led up to being “banned”. There are some pretty experienced eBay sellers here on the forum who might be able to answer some of the questions you may have.
New England Rarities...Dealer In Colonial Coinage and Americana
no idea. Always added tracking every item was delivered. Maybe time of shipping was sometimes a day or two later but my gosh that isnt a reason to can the account!
Can you please show the eBay message you received?
It’s possible to be banned but it’s rare. An error is possible too (where the eBay algorithm detected something unusual, even if nothing was wrong) and for some reason that led to being banned.
If your normal account doesn’t get reinstated, you could always try starting another one.
If your goal is to get advice and help from forum members, you’re making it extremely difficult. Whether intentionally or otherwise, you’re being vague and disclosing very little information.

My Spidey sense is telling me there are a lot of things we're not being told. You would have to really screw up multiple times to be banned from selling on the bay. They like collecting those fees too much.
It makes even less sense to those of us who haven't heard any details....
Especially since it is not that easy to get banned.
You do not have to use tracking. If you don't, they penalize you by charging a higher FVF.
if you exceed your allowed sales, they don't ban you they just suspend listing until the end of the month.
Edited to add: the mc011 suspension stems from a combination of factors that create concern of potentially fraudulent activity. It can be lifted once the seller's bona fides are established. If that's what this is...

I'm sure like most members of this numismatic forum you're of the most unimpeachable moral character, butter melts in your mouth and would give the shirt off your back to help someone in need. Maybe one of the moderators could give a letter of reference attesting to your being an upstanding member of this community! I'm sure that would turn the tide with the ebay moderators to have another registered member of the international fraternal society of moderators back you up!
I know as much about the situation having read the whole thread as I did before I read the thread...
There are a lot of people here that sell on ebay that are more than happy to help (I'm one of them but many much more knowledgeable than I), but without any information, we are all speechless.

We restricted your account
Asking to provide proof of tracking on all items. I did not provide it on items under $10
Edit: this is what I wake up to one day out of the blue
How are you shipping that has no tracking? On packages, tracking is automatic. On "letters", if you use eBay standard shipping, tracking is free and automatic.
It sounds to me like you have several issues that taken together triggered a threat warning at ebay. Do what the reddit thread you supplied and the link I supplied tell you to do and you can get reinstated.
Then clean up the issues going forward and you'll be fine. Use tracking. Don't tell off your customers. Handle the returns correctly. Etc.
You stated originally that there was no reason and little by little you revealed that there were several reasons.
Ebay should have emailed you EXACTLY why you were suspended/restricted and what you need to do to fix it. You haven't specifically said any comprehensive information as to what happened. Somebody help me if I'm missing the key facts here.

From what has been posted, he got an MC011.
A combo of several conditions seem to trigger this: no tracking info uploaded (even if it's for items under $10), some large enough volume of total sales, and other things that may not apply here (negative feedback, canceled sales, complaints from buyers).
What needs to be done is to reply to the eBay message and to read the link @jmlanzaf posted for details on how to reply.
I'd call them and find out what the issue is, their customer service people are helpful. I know an antiques dealer who was thrown off, no way would they permit him back in as much as he tried. Last I heard he was in jail on gun charges.

There's more to this story methinks...
Actually, not at all. Everything was done right.
Maybe told off a customer or two but nicely
The only issue was not adding tracking on items under $10
100% feedback
It would be nice if the forum would come in and write an appeal to eBay

Nothing it was off guard
Yes please provide all the details
There are no details except .. a risk factor due to not inputting tracking and maybe too much sold
It makes no sense
It makes even less sense to those of us who haven't heard any details....

But there are no details thats the thing. The details I can provide are I positively shipped every item had few returns mostly resolved in my favor
There have got to be details. It is INCREDIBLY hard to get kicked off .
There are none sadly, nothing happened no specific event
maybe sending an extra item to a buyer who claimed he did not receive even though tracking said other that is it
no idea. Always added tracking every item was delivered. Maybe time of shipping was sometimes a day or two later but my gosh that isnt a reason to can the account!
How were you notified your account had been canceled?
Out of the blue.

I’ve got like $5 billion left on my quarterly selling limit. Always happy to take eBay consignments

Kinda vague on the details which seems odd.

If it is an mc011 restriction, you just need to verify your bona fides. So stop effing around here and contact ebay and get your documents together.

Your best bet may be to contact ebay support.

No i would ship in envelope for cheap items under ten dollar or less
An envelope with ebay standard shipping costs 63 cents and carries insurance and tracking. I track $1.99 items that way.
Didnt know about that but wow what a horrible way to get banned.

Those reasons to me are such non reason for a MC011 issue
Been awhile but I’ll call the cats in. We’ll get some kinda answers.

Yeah not me
Taken together, you managed to make yourself look (statistically) like a scammer. So stop whining and contact eBay to set the record straight.
