If the price is too cheap there’s usually a reason. He was free rolling you. If the coin grades low to mid uncirculated it’s your and if it grades higher it’s his.

I half agree. While Joey may not care anymore, some of us are curious as to what the true story is. Was the coin actually lost? Was the coin actually details graded? After all, people cared enough to check back in on this thread after 4 months and then we're left with half the story.

I read a details graded Mercury dime that got stolen in the mail on the way back to the submitter.
The way PCGS and NGC package up their return submissions has this as highly unlikely.
The throw-down of many story-tellers is to blame the post office.
