I really struggled filling the Silver Slugger/HoF box because I tried to use a pitcher. Can't believe there only is one. Also would have helped to know that SS only started in 1980. Makes my guess of Drysdale look monumentally stupid.
Nice job! I could have used you for that Patriots/Broncos square. You came up with a gem there. All I could think of for the longest time was the obvious Wes Welker pick. I almost gave up, but it was the last square I needed, and eventually I tried one that worked.
You know, I’m terrible with the Pittsburgh Pirates except late 80s where they had a stud team. For the All-Star, I tried Doug Drabek first. Apparently he never made it! Not even the year he won 22 games and the Cy Young. 🤔 So, I tried Smiley next.

I was going to pick Parker for AS, and then I realized Dave played for the Brew-Crew and appeared in the 90 ASG at Wrigley so that's when I picked Willie....

These Grids will make you go Insane...
That’s sure the truth. I don’t know if these will get old, but when I wake up every morning, I look forward to seeing how they look once I get my coffee. 😂

If it's heavy on the AL then I'm not doing well. Today I did exceptionally bad.
I picked Dave Stieb Jays on the 200+K's and Jim Hunter 200+K's/20+Wins; I'm not even going to go there with Bump Wills- I was close with the 79... I was pretty much lost on today's footballer grid with Jaguars & Texans...
I did really well today. Wasn't going to pick the obvious answer with Carew, but just couldn't come up with an obscure ROY for the Twins. I figured there were some Washington players that would qualify, and was pretty sure there was a Twin in the 90s besides Chuck, but couldn't come up with the name.

John Castino, the 79 AL RoY, was the Twin player I and I’m sure many others remembered conceptually but could not come up with his name. If I did, would have set a personal score record with this grid. John, if you are out there, I’m sorry. Your accomplishments are remembered even if your name is not.
Nice Chargers/Packers pick. I'm a Chargers fan, and I really struggled with that one. Your pick is before my time. 🙂 Eventually, I thought of Jim McMahon.
I did all right today.
Baseball:
Football:
Hockey:
I was on my way to immaculate on hockey until I entered my 2nd last pick into the wrong box. 🫠

I was a little too young to watch John Hadl live.... Ah...Jimmy McM forgot about that one...Good call on that...
So I'm curious. On the PCGS forum there is some discussion of a registry "lowball" set, that is a set of the lowest possible graded coins. It wouldn't work here because there is no concept of "circulated" cards, which is to say that if you wanted to take one of today's Topps Now cards and bend it in half, you could get a straight up four, but in the coin world damaged coins can't be graded, so it is much more of a challenge to find coins with "honest" wear.
A possibility here is to play the game but try to get the most (not least) common players. Not sure it would be as much of a challenge, but it would certainly still be a challenge and might be interesting.
I got screwed on the 20 wins, didn’t realize it had to be with that team but that’s my mistake. Tried Steve Carlton but he didn’t do it with them, and tried Mark Bueherle but somehow he never won 20 games (best was 19).

Phil Garner managed both Brewers and Tigers but that don’t count. Furious with myself and only people on this thread understand.
I did ok today...

I did Ok today...
Hockey today. Who the heck played for the Jets/Thrashers and Predators? My brain is exhausted. I got nothing.
Football. Stumped on 3 of them. I threw in the flag here too.
Baseball. Better. 🙂
I was not pleased with my outcome today...
Rangers - Bluejays I went with....
I’d say you did pretty well! I could certainly show you worse. 😂

hey MarshallFaulk28....
show some grid work...
Here you go!
Football:
Hockey:

REDACTED 😉
Really ??? The Rangers have only had 3 20 game winners ?
Yes, I found that a little surprising. Nolan Ryan was not one of them either.
That cost me a guess.
Oh well, there is always tomorrow.
Here's my handiwork for today.
Hockey:
Football:
Baseball:
no time for any Grid-Action for me today....

a so-so day for Gridin'...

Too Much Thinking....Way Too Much...
For me today:
Baseball - pretty happy with this one!
Hockey - Mostly pretty common picks
Football - Meh
Today's baseball was way too easy. Score was 203....I don't really know how low you can go with the catogories.
Today's grids for me.
Hockey
Baseball
Football
Only one of these I've ever finished. My rarity score sucked.
That was the easiest one ever, but yes, tough to get rare ones, except in the middle.
I was stuck. Then I was browsing eBay and saw a leaders card from the 1960s. First Red Sox player I saw. Looked him up.
As a Mets fan I went with Calvin Schiraldi!
Pretty cool game. It's also an indirect age test!
My personal best score today. I’m personally advantaged when the recent expansion teams aren’t included.
Not a bad day with the grids for me today.
Hockey:
Football:
Baseball:
Almost had my first day completing all 3 grids, and then I tried Billy Brewer as a Milwaukee Brewer... nope! 😭

half way decent today...
I couldn't pick one of my guys there...then I went for Charlie...
Some nice rare picks there!
My efforts today:
Baseball:
Football:
Hockey:
hey MarshallFaulk28,
We's have the same score on the D-Ray's...on my hockey; I had Alex & Gordie 500+ Goals...
tree-time 4 me...
Indeed we did. 😂 I never like seeing Tampa on the grid.
Today's grids:
Baseball:
Hockey:
Football - I got nothing on the Browns. 🤷🏼♂️
This is a fun game, just started playing a few days ago. Not sure what points matter but I’m having fun thinking of more out there players.
Tough Griddin' Today....
