I know...there are some strong opinions floating around about these, but I love them.
My feeling is that they're the correct grade...with just a little bit of extra personality 
I'd love to see your +'s and ★'s

I’m not. It depends on the real grade of the coin.
I have two + coins in my entire collection. One is a PR-66+ and just makes 66. I bought because the price was right, and I liked it. The other is an MS-64+. I paid a premium MS-64 price for it despite the fact that it was in an NGC holder. I agreed that it was “all there” for the grade and then some, but not quite MS-65.
Just picked up a plus coin yesterday. I don’t seek them out but I will not discriminate against them either. 😉

Looks like for pluses I just have these three:
PCGS can be particularly stingy with the plus grades on moderns.
There may be a pop in the hundreds for the grade yet less than ten for the grade with a plus.

I don't mind them but I don't hunt for them. I'll buy a star/plus coin if I like the coin but wouldn't let it drive me to buy a coin I don't already find appealing. Only one in my collection currently....

I do not think I have any + or * coins in my collection.... Might be mistaken, brain still a bit cloudy from the operation.... Will double check in a few days. Some really nice ones above. Cheers, RickO
I have built a pair of graded sets of the 1953 and 1954 proof issues, all in PF 67 save these Half Dollars:
I recently sold my other + coin, and it went to a very good home with another forum member. This is my only one now, 67+cac.

The 1881-O is a pop 1/0 for the VAM.
