Just learned this morning that he passed away. Do any of the old timers around here have any good Anaconda stories they'd like to share?

Sorry to hear. I had him as a friend on Facebook.
https://www.facebook.com/TheRealAnaconda
When he was here, this site was a bit crazy. He added some fun and posted some really pretty toned coins. Some of what he did here would get a person banned in today's times.
Wow. I didn't think he was that old... maybe health reasons?

I enjoyed reading him when he was here. A very colorful persona, and his coins, too. To the streets of gold. RIP
There was a story of his ANACS Net AT Morgan that was cracked out and offered raw. . .
Something, something too about a toned Peace dollar?
All kidding aside, he was a spirited fellow that offered fun insights into this hobby of ours.
This is sad news although I'd imagine he wouldn't want us thinking of him this way.

This a real shame. I purchased several nice coins from Adrian ... beautifully toned Standing Liberty quarters. I loved his posts, and his material. RIP Adrian.![:'( :'(](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)

RIP.
He was a free thinker and a character.
He was also very likable if you could get past the surface.
The world is a poorer place without him.
Yesss, and he added much. Wow, my condolences. Sad.
I’m very sorry to hear that and my condolences go out to Adrian’s family and friends.
He was a character with abundant personality, wittiness, charisma, and enthusiasm, as well as a great writer.
And he handled cool coins, too.

Is his sidekick Brian still around?

Wow! He seemed young. Adrian had some fantastic posts on the CU Boards, both coin related and not so much coin related. I really liked him and kept kidding him that he was one of the very few attorneys that I liked. My condolences to his loved ones.

I saw him post here under a new handle a few years back, I think he mentioned he was back as a collector.
Also, why does he get to be Adrian's sidekick? He needs to share that title!

I think you guys are thinking of Brandon Kelly.

Sad news. A big loss for the hobby.

Brandon and POORGUY are correct. He took all the great images for Adrian. When he left there he went to work with a guy called Cash something. When I talked with him last, he said he had left the hobby.
It was Jhon E. Cash (not a typo in “Jhon”).

Adrian having fun with Laura. They were always picking on each other.

Around 2003-4 quite a large number of us took part in what became known as "The CrabFest" after a day at the Baltimore ANA, that's where I met Adrian. He was quite personable with a sharp wit.
RIP.
He was before my time, on these boards, but was somewhat of a legend, around here, and I heard many stories of him and what a colorful character he was. I am rather surprised by his early passing. He had a vigor for life and was somewhat of a renaissance man, as he was successful on many different levels. May he rest in peace and now cruise the big bourse in the sky.![o:) o:)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/innocent.png)

I remember when he was arrested in 2020.
Sad to hear this. By photo I remember him. Very sharp mind. I met him in Austin court? or Dallas I do not recall. Judge was a women and me witness specialist for an apparently miss medical conduct. All his questions was sharp, well documented and psychological very well drive. Like I am I do respect all the rules and remember I took time after first very sharp question to think and made a small time win for me. I told him I remember: "Mister, first I do not like to be call PH or MD, my name it is Silvio and here I do not consult or teach anyone, and your help lawyer to stop to tell me that I have to address MAITRE". Then half hour him ask and ask. In fact was just verbal misconduct of the doctor with false declarations of the part him go for.
I was outside, enjoy my cigar and took my German beer when him come out and come to me ask if am I am OK. I mention that I have to wait 30 min more to go to artifacts, coins auction at 2 to 4 min walk from Court House. Then him start speak about and I enjoy the auction with him and the dinner.
Was single time I meet with him. Very cleaver person, wide mind, fast mind and very funny who understand and like to joke.
Sad at only 61 him past away. I am 63 and I will go see my father at 65. God keep him in honor.

Brandon Kelly worked with Adrian, and I think he was as knowledgeable about coins as Adrian was flamboyant. Brandon sold me a great 05 O Gem Barber Half. He left the business and went back home to Louisiana. Heard he is doing all right.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
Sad to hear of another loss.
He was a quick wit on the forum and def livened up this place.
I recall stories of him leaving the country, I think Costa Rica or somewhere like that and living the good life for a while.
He seemed to have had a great ride on our planet... rip sir.
This is super sad for me. I remember him on the forums and both he and Brandon had some exceptional coins. They showcased toners and other super eye appealing coins with Brandon's great photography.
RIP Adrian!
Here's his profile to read his posts @ANACONDA.
PS anyone have photos of the Anaconda Rare Coins hokey jerseys?
Brandon is @poorguy on the forums, but he hasn't logged in since 2015.
After Anaconda, Brandon worked with Jhon E. Cash who is still on the show circuit and showcases Brandon's work on his website:
http://www.jhonecash.com/coins/tonedmorgans.asp
After parting ways with Cash, Brandon started his own coin business at BestOfYesterdayCollectibles.com but that site is no longer online:

Boy, I must have first met him at the 2003 ANA (or shortly after… it was before I went to college) and saw him and his son a few times after that. Always friendly and always had something cool to show off. RIP.
I don’t remember if there was a reason these were made other than “why not?” but whatever their cost, he saw to it that mine came to me free.
So sorry to hear - he was a real character. We had many fun exchanges when he was active in the forum - just wish I could find them again!
Wow - that is shocking. We had some good times back in the day. RIP Adrian.
Coin Rarities Online
Quite a colorful character. Deepest sympathies to his family......
Shocking news, but believable at the same time. He crammed a whole lot into one lifetime.

I never got to meet him but appreciated his presence both on the forums and in the coin market.
Great jersey! Thanks for posting photos!
Sounds like a great time! Thanks for the memories!
Between Rambo tales from Adrian and John Mckafee I suspect Costa Rica is like the Wild West.
Brandon Kelly has posted here since 2015 but under a name different than poorboy. Can't recall his new handle.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
I remember him (and many others who no longer post) as having a sharp wit. These boards have had some colorful characters over the years. RIP
Sad to hear, for sure. Adrian was a lively character, but a pretty damn good guy too. My condolences to his family and friends.
Brandon came back for a while and posted for a short time in 2020 under @Cajunpoorguy but I haven't seen him in a couple years again.
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

This is very sad. I have sold and bought several beautifully toned commems from both Adrian and Brandon.
Still cannot believe he passed away at 61. Life is too short.
I’m very sorry to hear this. 😞

I’m so sorry to hear this. RIP.
My condolences to his family. I remember him from my earlier time on the board. He made me really want to buy toned Morgans but they were out of my reach at the time. The board was definitely a different place back then.
RIP Adrian, I was a regular at Anaconda and I bought a drop dead Red Large Cent and many other coins. i still have that Large cent in my collection and got it CAC'd = several years ago. At one time, that was my first dealer that I went to at a show. SO sad.
Sad news indeed. I never got to meet him in person but swapped many a PM. He was an old forum institution for sure. God speed to him and best wishes to his family.
I first became acquainted with Adrian back in 2017. I had quite a few interactions with him and I know he was proud of his legendary status among the group. He really started taking a downturn about this time, however, and was dealing with some drug issues. Out of the blue, he went silent on me and it wasn't until later that I learned he had been arrested and charge with several counts of possession and possession with intent to distribute child pornography. I started following the cases online on the Dallas court's website and recently it appeared that he was going to be going to trial on those cases. I wish he had stayed the course as I will miss his wit and humor. RIP Adrian Crane
This is very sad news. I communicated with Adrian for several years, through email mostly. He was an amazing guy and had some great adventures. Communications slowed down a couple of years ago, I know he was working on some cases, and had some legal issues himself.
Condolences to family and friends... RickO
As I remember he came out of semi-retirement ostensibly for financial reasons.
He was a remarkable man with a remarkable wit and a silver tongue. I'm sure he can talk his way into heaven if anybody up there has a sense of humor.
God speed, and RIP.
I rarely say this but "Welcome aboard".
No real stories aside from discussing the possibility of renting his place in Costa Rica back around 2008/9.
Definitely an individual that had a lot of character and drive.
The name is LEE!
