Interesting question. As a type collector, I never considered focussing on a particular denomination although the country focus has been on Mexican issues with fill-ins from Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, and Colombia.
I collected a type set of Mexican pesos years ago. Maybe it’s time to get some new pieces.
1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8 reales (1732-1772) all mints
1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8 soles (1827-1863) Bolivia republic
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
All mints that is no easy tasks especially Colombia and Chile.
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
Since I don’t have any it’s been pretty easy up to now. 😂

1/2R, 1R, 2R, 4R Bolivia (1767-1770) and Peru (1752-1772). Have a low number of Guatemala and Mexico but don's actively buy it. Same for the Lion & castle 1/4R from all mints.
8 reales and 8 escudos Mo mint
All Latin American crowns, but only with chopmarks. Special preference to Latin American republic pieces.
Crowns you mean 8 reales?
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
Yes, and anything of similar size: pesos, eight soles, etc.
I like 20, 25 and 50 centavos, various countries
1 and 2 escudos, early republic.
Crown sized denominations
Latin American Collection
Feel like we are in the UK. Why not just call them Latin American dollars.
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
Because crown sized denominations are just that ….not necessarily limited to Latin America
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
My interest in Latin American coinage is limited to the pieces that circulated in the United States and for 80 years or so after 1776. That means the pillar coinage and the Spanish king portrait pieces, stickly by design and denomination.
This is probably the most expensive piece it have, although I also have a doubloon which might be worth more because the price of gold.
