My one and only.
Disclaimer: I'm not a dealer, trader, grader, investor or professional numismatist. I'm just a hobbyist. (To protect me but mostly you! 🤣 )
Here is a thing!
After the ones shown, I'm a little bit embarrassed to show my only one. Maybe it will convince others to show theirs.

What would cause such extreme colorization like this?

Only SLQ example I have
I’m not sure if these came from a roll or not but there is a group (maybe 6 or 7?) of 1920 quarters that look similar. I have not seen this pattern on any other date.
A very addictive series. I did a raw album set that started with me being happy with full dates to something that is much more in the XF to MS category. From there running with it as a registry year set:![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/9i/q8vxxfyph26q.jpeg)

Collector of Capped Bust Halves, SLQ's, Commems, and random cool stuff! @davidv_numismatics on Instagram
One of each type.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
How many types of SLQ are there?
1. 1916 (is this it's own type? the beading is certainly different)
2. 1917 exposed breast
3. 1917-1924 (flat date)
4. 1925-1930 (recessed date)
Really cool coins everyone... just a beautiful, elegant design.
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
Here’s a couple. A type 1 1917 and a pretty sweet 1921.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/kx/iyubwe6gssa8.jpeg)

My SLQ Full Head DATE Set is Current ranked #3, with 9 of the 14 coins having pluses. Here’s my 1916:

For those that would like to see the full set of 14 coins (warning - like @ricko, I’m not a fan of toning, especially on 20th Century Silver), here’s a hotlink. If you click on any coin, you can then see several different photos of each coin:

My set has a CAC on each coin. I believe the two sets ranked higher than mine do not.

@winesteven, that is one amazing looking SLQ in FH! Love the look of the 1916’s. CAC is well deserved on the coin. That beauty could easily go 65 FH. I’ve seen lesser looking coins graded higher. Possibly reconsideration?

The dealer I bought it from agrees with you, and he was kind enough to let me know he tried that before selling it to me. I also tried, and would have done the Happy Dance if I even got just a plus, but I failed too. Oh well. I still really enjoy this coin for what it is!
Thanks for your kind words.
