I see no obverse luster, perhaps it's been messed with?

Dipped, too much road rash on face and neck for even AU. Potentially hairlines on reverse due to harsh cleaning at one time. At most an EF.

    My current Registry sets:
✓ Everyman Mint State Carson City Morgan Dollars (1878 – 1893)
    ✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
    ✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

AU sharpness. The obverse appears to have been cleaned to the point where it has no mint luster.

It might be just the photo, but that's the way it looks from what I have to view. If the obverse has not been dulled by cleaning, then I would say MS-60.

If there’s luster in the protected areas of the obverse that isn’t showing in the pics, I could see this grading out as a 50. (I’ve seen mercs that are significantly more questionable in straight graded AU50 holders).
